QUOTE(Ramjade @ Oct 26 2015, 01:19 PM) Hansel, chill. if you are worried, transfer most of your current asx fp into the upcoming asx fp which most likely be announced next year. That will guaranteed you tax-free and longevity of the fund (change to VP) for at least 3 years. anyway, it's just speculation regarding the new FP. until announced, better not put much thought into it. QUOTE(Vincent9696 @ Oct 26 2015, 01:21 PM) Before they change , They may announce through newspaper or inform by letter to all unit holder right? If they change from fp to vp? this 1 we have discussed previously. conclusion is, we don't know. they can do anything they want.

QUOTE(Hansel @ Oct 26 2015, 01:10 PM) This triggers another thinking - there is a possibility that ALL the 950 mil units available inside the ASW2020 are meant for BUmis only. I'm sure the other forummers can verify this from the formulae. If this is so,... then,......hypothetically,....... : if the ASW2020 units are converted into variable priced units anytime after Dec 31 this year, the Bumis will only be affected minimally. Why,.. ? Perhaps all the Bumis have moved their funds over to the ASB2 already. The political aspect of this national matter has been satisfied. I believed this type of event draws some similar parallels with the ASN conversion from Fixed Price funds into Variable Price funds many tens of years ago, as in the Bumis could move their funds over to more favourable ones before the conversion. sound make sense to me. But even ASB2 only capped at 200k conversion or not , still early to say. But yea recently myself reduce some portion of my money in ASW , better diversified somewhere else a bit

Thanks for all the replies, guys,.... As the end of the year draws nearer, the PNB mgmt. will soon need to make an ann't if they are extending the 'FP terms'. I am still staying put with half of my holdings still inside. Another speculation just for discussion sake : what if they don't announce anything, and just let everything flows over to the following year ? FP remains as FP into 2016 and everything seems to remain as it is ? Perhaps the PNB is also waiting for Ms Janet Yellen's move... ... before deciding to extend for us,....

Still,... there are so many outstanding units. Perhaps we should go around asking our Bumi friends if any of them are currently invested in the ASW2020, or ASM or AS1M.... then we can get a better feel,... Prhaps ALL have taken out their funds from the above FP funds and shifted over to the ASB, ....
