Ingress currently has 12 million downloads worldwide.

Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, and Nintendo Co., Ltd., will all contribute to the Pokémon GO project.

Furthermore, Junichi Masuda of Game Freak Inc., the game director of the Pokémon video game series, is also contributing to the project. He is hard at work ensuring that the fun of Pokémon makes its way into this new project, and is also looking to come up with new kinds of gameplay while thinking of ways to connect this project with the main series of Pokémon video games.

Pokémon GO will be available for download at no charge on the App Store and Google Play. In-app purchases will be available.

Yup.. its a GPS/Location base gaming. From the map of the game you have to walk around your neighbourhood to locate these Pokemon.

While walking to your work/school/outing the app will alert you of a nearby Pokemon monster or player to trade/battle.

i think the strap should just be an addon for notification...so not necessary ba... but to catch all need travel everywhere? hmm...

question. let say if there are certain pokemon i want to possess and it is only available/appear somewhere at India so i will need to go there?

suddenly my map not refreshing when i want to go out to pokestops & catch some pokemons, so far caught 2 eevee & 1 charmander, heard if you turn ar off makes catching easier, pokestops every 5 min can collect once so plan ahead

its the official apk, but i believe they patched it so certain countries have their pokestops and pokemons showing or something like that

Just read an announcement in pokemon go Malaysia (Facebook). Apparently a region lock is enforced because the release is only intended for AUS in our region. So..we have to wait for the official release in MY..

That's only in the Yellow version..the original versions had no Pikachu.

no point region locked liao

I created an US based Google account, VPN to an US server, managed to install the game directly from Google play store, but I couldn't see anything when I enter the game, I can only see my avatar walking on the map, nothing else. Apparently I read the comments for this game in play store, many ppl from US are facing the same issue.

Is it region locked now? Damn I am dying to play this game

Pokemon Go for malaysia is live, not appearing in google play or ios yet but for those manage to get it, can play already

Install the game yesterday night. Everything was empty no signal until this morning buildings icon and Pokemon show up on map. Currently I have bulbasaur, ivysaur, golbat and pidgey. BTW guys where is the pokestop?
