3S Setapak are good and recommended for e.o change, warranty part claim and also very pack and waiting area are too small.
(I claim my DRL here. 2 week to wait for part)

Since 3) & 4) maybe need part for change, better go to COE.

I'm planning to go there as well due to my car head light flickering like power trip. (I'm done checking with Lon G Sc near subang, but they cant solve it, thus ask me to refer COE)
*
Hmm, wanna ask your car head light flickering it happen often? I realise one thing in my car, the internal room lamp, it will flicker once in a while (something like the air-cond where the compressor cut-in sort of feeling).
Example you turn on the room lamp then after a while of it turning on, the light will get a little bit dimmer then back to its original brightness. Does it happen to you all too? hmm.gif
Just wondering cause other electric stuffs like headlamp or radio all no problems.

I don't get any flicker in my cabin light or at the headlights.

2015 batch, according to the plaque on the door, August 2015.
*
mine doesn't really flicker also. Shouldn't have said flicker. Wrong word used.

My experience was when i just got my car, then at night time, I was sitting in the car for around 30 mins to set up the radio (was reading the radio manual so yeah). So I turned on the room lamp, after quite some time, the lamp toned down in brightness for a while (slightly dimmer than before but still bright enough, so doesn't look like it's a sign of battery or wiring problems) then resumed back it's original brightness..

Don't know whether it's a flaw or a function of the room lamp.. Never really tested it again ever since.

If you wanna test it out, I suggest try doing it at night/dark place, as day time wont notice the difference.

Btw the plaque of the door stated the month>? I thought it only stated the year. hmm.gif

Regardless, you will see a big fat 0 once you exceed the period biggrin.gif

funnily enough, when i went out just now I checked the meter, it has gone from 1 month to 30 days on the display. Will check again next time to see if it reduces the days correctly.

no 2 can DIY repair. For COE when I made booking yesterday morning, they said no more slots were available till 11/11(which should be 10/11 in the US if ur gonna play Fallout 4) onwards.

For me, EO I probably plan to switch to mineral because I am only now at 5.1k km and at the 6 months/10 000 km which ever comes first service. Feel that its wasted getting semi syn cuz it doesnt benefit me much.
*
Yeah I know no.2 can DIY, I tried to DIY but can't cause it's right side of wiper hose. and the wiper motor is blocking the way for right side, cannot put hand in. sad.gif

Oh wow, means mine will be after 11/11. Hmm, then hope they can finish fixing my car within the same day (I dont mind going early like 8am), cause I need to use the car.
When you called COE do you notify them any problems you have with your car for them to order parts? If can do that, then I will tell the person on the phone that I have problems with my odometer, so that they can get the parts ready when I go there for servicing and no need leave the car behind or come back again another day..

As for EO, I don't mind paying 20-30 bucks more every 6 months, as it gives me some sort of peace of mind using semi-syn oil.. hmm.gif

Probably can ask them on whats the procedure like to fix problem x and if they dunno then ask to speak to a technician. Hope they can sort these things out for you. COE is close to proton parts center so most things should be within a day to get the parts.
*
alright thanks a lot. Will give them a call tomorrow morning and set an appointment. rclxms.gif

and funnily enough, it's as if in classic Proton fashion (where things go haywire). Yesterday it showed me 30 days remaining, today it showed me back 1 month. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

It's been 1 month and 1 week now since I got the car. and it doesn't seem to ever reduce lol.

I was at autofest this evening the SA oso said loyalty program dah takde. And no more 7 years warranty too.
*
what no more 7 years warranty for Iriz ady?

Wow cukurr I bought 1 month earlier hmm.gif

Oh and on warranty topics, I heard the extended warranty will get some sort of letter from Proton/Insurance? Is it true? and if so, have you guys received whatever it is?

I have no idea about that at all. What proof that we can keep/show that our car is under warranty for 7 years?

haha. good goy.

use a car charger.
use a usb hub. works for charging, doesn't work for data.
rain x for rear window.

4k is not worth it for a bit of plastics.
after market bodykit cost way less.

port and polish while you're at it.

>im just justifying the exec options and pricing...
which is unjustifiable.

no need for that kinda attitude in this thread. Each owners have their own perspective. If you think it's not worth it, then good for you. It probably is not then.

But to people like me and yadea and many other 1.3 Exec owners, we felt that it is worth it. Sure you can add spoilers, bodykit, and paint your door handles and side mirrors for less than 4k.

But not everything can be done outside, AND it's not all about plastics, mind you.

You don't get:
-black painted exhaust, so your 1.3 Std after sometime the exhaust will have rust stains all over it.
-roof-grab handles. How you gonna hang your clothes/jackets after sending them for dry-cleaning? (inb4 u give me alternatives to dry cleaning rolleyes.gif )
-BOOT LAMP. Try taking/putting stuff into your boot at the dead of night, you will then appreciate not needing to turn your smartphone or torchlight on just to see what the hell you're doing..
-OH and while you're at it, without the boot lamp, make sure you don't scratch your rear body paint yeah since it's exposing bare metal and not covered by plastics
-rear wipers.
-drive side vanity mirrors. (well gotta make sure I look sharp and dapper before picking up the gf wink.gif )
-follow me home lamp functionality.
-remote trunk release function (but this one is truly useless)
-2 dedicated built-in USB charging slots with the PROPER Ampere-capacity. 1 for smartphones, 1 for tablets.

All that CONVENIENCE readily provided in the car. No need send to 3rd party shops to do wiring or whatever, no worry and headaches about "Oh shit will this void my warranty with Proton later??"
PS: Adding rear wipers and boot lamp to your car WILL void your warranty.

I dont really agree. All the stuffs except usb and wiper u mention above could be diy without warranty void. sorry probably im a hands on person, i could do wiring easily without cutting. wahaha.
*
and isn't that what I said? So what exactly are you not agreeing with then?

If you want to add wipers and boot lamp you will void your warranty? Well for USB and wipers, definitely void. But for boot lamp, im not sure but since u say u can do it without cutting then i'll take your word for it.

Bad dashboard rattle from my 2 months old Iriz, the first time it happened, SC fixed it and told me the cause was loose dashboard clip. This is the second time it happened. Gonna ask them to fix it permanently.

*
wow that sounds so bad your rattle.

My rattle not that hard-vibration kind of sound. Mine like something loose under the dashboard..

I just called COE to set appointment for 1k km service on Friday @10am..

Well, i'm just genuinely surprised.. Cause my call was picked up immediately and the person on the phone straight set appointment for me. I even asked if Friday itself I can't make it what should I do, and she just told me to notify them to cancel the appointment.

My call didn't even last 2 minutes lol. Now that's what I would call efficient. I was expecting to be on hold, or someone not answering the phone, etc (hahaha)

Oh and as I was typing this, SMS confirmation for my service appointment was sent.. thumbup.gif

Indeed it is totally unexpected level of efficiency! Previously need at least a month advance booking...  rclxub.gif

yep as in this Friday. 2 days time.

I was shocked too.. I just asked the lady when can I send in my car, then she said this Friday can. Then i asked what time's the earliest, she said 10am. rclxms.gif

Now i'm just worried I might not make it on Friday. Might have a meeting. sweat.gif
Hopefully I don't la, will only know by Thursday..

But honestly, if it's routine maintenance, then Friday is ok..

Coz if involves anything more than routine, better reschedule as Friday prayers will prolong your wait at the SC... whistling.gif
*
well need to see how.. It all depends if Friday morning I have meeting or not. If no meeting, I will be free the whole day so don't mind..

But if not free then have to reschedule.. Or maybe just send to do routine 1k service + fix back wiper hose, then other stuff like dashboard rattle and change odometer I come back another time..

Sent my car in today and when i asked to replace the reverse sensors, the guy got shocked and said where can simply replace sensors. I explained that I was with the Iriz club and we were invited to join the talk with Proton CTO and that I highlighted this issue to him and his electrical technician explained that mine is from old batch where its oversensitive and proton advised to replace them as new one is properly calibrated. He wrote in the memo saying check reverse sensor, sometimes faulty.
At least you dont need to have to wait several weeks. For my first service I had to wait like 3 weeks cuz they said all booked till then. I did not get any sms notification on booking. Only got a survey  sms and thank you for servicing at proton sms after sending my car in today. Haven't gotten it back yet. Hopefully tomorrow can get back around noon time cuz night got to fetch girls and dont want to pick up in my old saga(its not pleasing). Also regarding the call being instantly picked up, you are lucky again. Many times when I call, they say the line is currently occupied.
*
Yeap, thats why it caught me by surprise. The whole process was very fast.

Anyway for 10k service what else you ask them to take a look/fix other than reverse sensors? and how come you need to leave your car behind? hmm.gif
