you have to change ur taobao region..i use world.taobao no see. but if use malaysia 1 ,the direct shipping is there..having the same trouble 2 days ago.

Hey guys. I'm interested to know more on the shipping on Taobao. It's my first experience on Taobao(everyone is talking about it so I thought I'd give it a trial).
24th July, I bought a sunglasses and a pair of shoes and opted for Taobao Global Direct Shipping(TGDS). Just a while ago, the items are being dispatched from the warehouse for global shipping


Thing is, I was thinking for most economical sense(and fast delivery time) back then. TGDS(RMB 28) vs Global Consolidate and Shipping(which could cost me higher if the item exceed 1kg) vs Contact seller(???).
Did I chose right? Or is there more economical yet takes just similar amount of time for the item to reach here?

Sorry I used TGDS 淘宝直送 Taobao Global Direct Shipping , that means I didn't select the provider at that time. Shipment fees is automatically calculated if i choose that option. Now I realize that you can only choose Consolidated shipping 淘宝集运 Global Consolidate and Shipping when you checkout. And depends on the link you click, you can still sometimes choose TGDS. The system is getting dumb-er.

But the shipping company at that time was Skynet. So far never failed me. I tried Lazada air recently but I think will still prefer Skynet if not for the cheaper shipment. Skynet's tracking seems to be more superb. The tracking number 国际配送单号 showed in taobao can always be track through skynet malaysia tracking system after clearance of Malaysia custom. Lazada Air GDEX sometimes seems to fails me with their "ODBC error".

First time saw TGDS since this time i selected "MY" on the top left corner. I have always used consolidate shipping coz never saw this option before

It (5kg) item was shipped for a mere 26RMB!

Check your PM. If you don't see TGDS I know the issue 

The same item i tried with CN region - only consolidate option available

With MY region - TGDS available



Very rarely something has TGDS option actually. Maybe its the item that i wanted. Usually electronics

Hi, just started exploring Taobao. I am looking to ship quite alot of stuff together and is thinking of shipping by sea to save costs.

Is the only way to do so via third party agents/websites and not through TGCS? Any good sites to recommend going about this? Thanks in advance.

Yo guys, curious to know anyone tried Lazada（海运）seafreight before?

Recently bought a 27kg item using sea freight. Noticed there is a clause saying *代收消费税：马来西亚按货值收取6.00% means subject to Malaysia tax 6%. You can't find this clause if using airfreight, only sea freight has this.

Third party is more flexible compare to taobao global , they can ship electronics and big item like furniture.

What happened to TGDS? It seems that no more direct shipping to Malaysia. Only consolidated shipping for better profit?

I don't think 6% GST is charge on item price. I tried shipping CNY798 item with volumetric weight 27kg (net weight about 22kg only). was charged 232 CNY for sea shipment (27*8+16).
