Sometimes have to becareful to ask seller how many packages they will send out.
If you buy one item from the Taobao page but seller send out 2 or more packages with different tracking number, the one with tracking number recorded in your order will be tracked, other packages will not be tracked.

So what you have to do is to get the tracking numbers for your remaining packages, and tell the warehouse customer service to ship out your items.

12nd Jan 6PM: Submit consolidation order.
14th Jan 11PM: Parcel shipped out from warehouse.
18th Jan 10AM: Most likely 4PX taken over my parcel for export custom clearance.
18th Jan 5PM: Export custom clearance completed.
22nd Jan 6PM: Most likely on 4PX cargo ship.
27th Jan 12PM: Most likely 4PX import custom clearance completed in Singapore.

For me, around one week if I remembered correctly.

Sea shipment is cheaper than air shipment.
That time my parcel was around 4.X kg

Better don't do that, direct shipping use air shipment, and battery is one of the item which is prohibited for air shipment.

Becareful especially if you buy bulky stuffs like this.
This item usually have several packages when seller ship out the product.
If you choose Taobao sea shipment, the system can only record one tracking number.
If seller ship out several packages using different tracking number, the other packages will not be tracked, and hence they will "lost".

To estimate the shipping fee, you have to know both the weight and the dimension of all the packages.
Since they use volumetric weight, and will take whichever is heavier.

Since this item will ship out in several packages, the total weight will be added up from all the packages.
With this, it is hard to estimate the shipping fee.
But best is to ask the seller about the dimensions and also the weight of the item.

If I am you, I will engage third party forwarder to help me handle this kind of bulky purchase.
Last time this third party forwarder EZbuy has RM 8.80 international shipping fee for PRIME membership, regardless how big or heavy your total items are.
I utilized their trial PRIME membership to ship coffee table from Taobao, saved me almost RM200 of shipping fee.
I am not sure EZbuy still has this offer now, you may check other 3d party forwarder if they have similar thing.

My coffee table purchase was done before the news announcing TB blocked EZbuy.
Even after the news, I am still able to use their Buy-For-Me service, although without PRIME, and my order was fulfilled.
My last order from EZbuy was around end of last year.
As of now, their website is still up, and I guess they are still running the business.

I am using ectbuy Ship-For-Me service, so far so good, and no volumetric weigh as compared to taobao official shipment.
Shipping quite fast too, took 3 to 4 working days.

It depends, if all your items under direct shipping reached warehouse and recorded, then Taobao will send notification to warehouse to ship out your order. At this point, it depends on the warehouse if busy or not. Workers in warehouse once received the notification, they will pack all your items together and weight it. If everything is OK, then they will proceed to hand over your parcel to courier to ship out to Malaysia. If smooth, 4 days to 6 days to reach your door step.

This Chinese address does not really matter much, because local courier mostly can't read Chinese.
I would recommend you to put the full address from house number, road, taman, city, state to country in English or Malay even after you chosen the city and state in Chinese.
Better safe than sorry, avoid to complain here that you did not receive your parcel.

Mine no problem, maybe try reload the page again, sometimes page not completely loaded.
Or try add in Taobao app.

No, please use 3rd party forwarder instead.
If you use the Taobao address but your purchase does not go through Taobao system, the warehouse might reject your parcel or your item will not be tracked.

My 12.12 purchase using Direct Shipping still not arrived, last status was "Pending Custom Clearance" in Malaysia on 16th Dec.

Edit: Today morning the tracking appeared on GDex.

Just wait for maybe one more week, sea shipment usually take around 3 weeks to 5 weeks.
