QUOTE(benji @ Sep 11 2020, 11:19 PM) Any tips for buying used asx? Tomorrow my fren going test drive a unit. He ask me if I know anything bout this car.. Huhu.. I dunno nothing I think just same like buying other second hand car, better opt for those still under warranty. The cabin smell that generated when driving at high speed or going up hill is wat the service center can't solve for me... And the original radio is lousy 🤣 It's the cheapest mini suv anyway 🤪

QUOTE(Kilohertz @ Oct 21 2020, 09:04 AM) the cabin smell problem since day 1 ar? is it affecting all asxs? Mine is a preowned unit. And notice the smell with my wife while going up genting, and thereafter in the case like giving stress to the asx eg. climb hill, high rpm. Yes, from the beginning when i got the car early this year. Recently got advice fr another sc saying it's sealing prob that can b fixed but need to be done during weekdays. So will arrange a full day for it later. Hope can fix it..

Any ASX owners here have changed all 4 absorbers? What would be the rough estimate to get it changed?
My wife's ASX is at 96,000km mileage now and the rears have gone quite soft.

hi guys, im currently browsing and stumbled upon a 2015 4wd asx for sale on mudah. mileage about 70k km. i kinda miss my triton vgt i sold back in 2017 so the asx kinda caught my eyes. i have 3 questions;
1) only the 4wd version comes with the sunroof ? 2) hows the cvt gearbox on the asx ? 3) 2wd vs 4wd besides the drivetrain, what else is different ? interior, exterior etc.
im not really looking for performance as if i do get an asx, its gonna be my new daily driver. thinking of replacing my e36 to a newer vehicle.

Hi guys. I'm about to get a used asx 2014, high mileage unit, but I am directly dealing with the owner (my fed), so far the asx looks good, well maintained and he never misses any service.
Any recommendations of workshop in klang valley to service asx? As I am looking for a pro workshop to send in the car for thorough inspection and replace parts whichever needed.
On top of that, what are the parts that usually needs replacement for asx after 7yrs?
Thanks!

Hey Brothers and sisters.
I'm currently looking for a used 4WD ASX from Yr2015 onwards (Since it is more fully equipped based on best of my research)
as my daily driver now is an manual proton inspira, i'd more or less understood the common issues with the engines, suspension and any parts that commonly shared between those cars.
However, i'm not too sure about the cvt gear box as well as the 4WD system. Is there any things that i'd need special attention with? and how can 1 know if the 4wd system is working? Any owner can share their experience would be awesome.
in the mean while i'll digest through the comment in the thread for more information.
Thanks.

I hardly use the 4wd, but I recall you can feel the difference between 2wd and 4wd mode while driving.

I think the easiest way to test it out it to get it up on a dirt hill, but i doubt the salesman would allow it Anyway, Is your ASX still with you? Mind to share if you've any major issues with it through your ownership so far? Thanks.

Will switch on 4wd auto when raining or driving road with many turns at high speed, can feel the car more stick to the road and more responsive. 4wd lock is advice for off road use, not for high speed. The only issue I'm facing is the odour when going up hill. But after flashing the ecu seems better now.

If i'm not mistaken, i've read somewhere else off forum that the odor was due to water droplets from the aircond pipe to the exhaust manifold. He manage to get it done by putting on some insulation sleeve on the droplet part
