study the indicators and you'll know why.  wink.gif

I've made virtual money of USD1000 in less than 5 mins  doh.gif  and again, i wish it was real money. I guess when we trade in virtual money, less emotion there is.  shakehead.gif

Trading in real market is very very much different. Trust me a lot of things that you wont like it. Such as open/close not executed @ the price you clicked (Slippage) during fast/abnormal market condition.

hahaha

real market conditions are very complicated. we're still in the safe little pool, not out at sea! hahaha happy.gif

anyway, i'm startng to make profit. yay for me.

so far highest gain is 37 pips, short on EUR/USD. (not bad for a 3 day newbie, i'd say)

hi there, i am interested in forex and ive just started reading about. can any of you help me with what does this sentence mean?

The minimum fluctuation of an exchange rate is referred to as a "pip". For USD/JPY and EUR/JPY, a pip is equal to 0.01 and for the other exchange rates, a pip is equal to 0.0001.

thanks in advance
*
Pip is the smallest increment/decrement in any pair.
Example

GBP/USD = 1.9397 (current price)
GBP/USD = 1.9399 (old price)

The difference is 2 pips.
Any increment/decrement will be in the multiple of 0.0001 which is 1 pip.
For USD/JPY ... 1 pip = 0.01

QUOTE(ao_othman @ Dec 8 2006, 09:50 PM)
omg, im seeing live now GBP/USD shooting up. can any1 explain why this is happening? from roughly 1.9558 to 1.9631 and rising. very sharp.

The NFP news brought the pair down .. but the unemployment news that came 15 mins after that showed bad news for USA so the pair shot up. sweat.gif

Nope. Actually i hit my stoploss above the point 5 due to NFP. At that time i was out having dinner.

Im the type that want to set and forget, but i think for newbie like myself better to stick infront of the monitor to analyze the market more often. Its just that i have to many distraction from my fren sweat.gif

No probelm mate, take it slow. Best is play demo.

But your mindset must be the demo account money inside is real money to you then only it works. If not wasting time. Hehe.

Better to lose demo account than real account hehe.

No idea ... need to check that with Internal Revenue. I *think* it's non-taxable because the income is not "hasil dalam negeri".

dude, there are two types of joining:
1) You play forex by yourself- need a lot of concentrations and must knowledgeable
2) You play forex by using remiser as a medium..

To hire a remiser, make sure , he or she is certified person...
dont risk your money by selecting uncertified person.

Normally, forex tradsing company, will have 2 types of remiser:
1) Certified remiser (pass test)
2) Uncertified a.k.a admin assistant

The most important thing is this:

MAKE SURE THAT COMPANY HAS LICIENCE TO DO FOREX TRADING.

AND YOU MUST KNOW what currencies there are playing.

Normally, forex will play 4 types of currencies:
1) USD
2) GBP
3) YEN
4) CHF

The best pairing currencies are GBP-USD..but DEPEND ON FOREX EXCHANGE RATE.

To understand about increase or decrease of the forex, watch Bloomberg in ASTRO
