Ok, another reason to cancel it, since I already have mbb ikhwan and uob one card as replacement.

yeah Aeon Card dont have quota one they have been doing this for 10+ years d. Reason they do this is to promote more customers to shop at their malls.. not for some quota sake.

Maybank got agenda behind one. Same with other banks. It's true la what he said credit card is a loss-loss for banks. The interests they earn is peanuts compare to the rewards they have to hand out to customers at the end of the day (esp for cards like Maybank 2 Cards with so many goodies earlier on).

So maybe one day when Maybank desperate for customer contacts again they will push some other nice card rewards. Imo no point to cancel also since this year's GST implementation no need to pay 50 for tax a card d.. the tax have been abolished as Gov cannot impose so many taxes on people. They decided to scrap the credit card tax. You wanna have 100 credit cards also no issue as long can waive their annual fee (check properly as some cards need swipe a number of times, above certain spending amount etc).. enjoy the 5X points while u can.. but prepare to have backup plan when the day arrives.

Just requested for M2C Mastercard change to Visa, want to ask how long it will take? CS replied send to respective department and ask me cancel Mastercard myself after I get the Visa. I have to cancel the Mastercard by calling them after I get Visa?

Edit: Additional question - change the card have charges?

Soon will getting a Mastercard and no Visa at the moment, then switch this M2C to Visa as plan to keep this M2C.

Quite fast actuallly, within 2 weeks time. Based on my own experience.

I read wrongly for the 1st round, I saw 5% Dining re-revised and replaced back with 5% weekend cashback... Then re-read 2nd time, oh well

actually me too..when i read the title, i thought..they are changing back to weekend cash backs! but then i read further....

I just got a call from mbb to offer me maybank2 cards. Haha

yeah, they've been aggressive everywhere, promoting the cards and freebies (e.g. toys). i was tempted to grill the agents there to explain the real benefits, and possibly challenge them to beat HLB Wise or even Ikhwan card

most likely the agent that provide toys are from outsource company one.. they might not be so clear about the card features in and out
