All banks are the same, pay statement balance before due date and you are good to go without getting penalized with interest.
Pay the stated minimum amount also won't be penalised right? hmm.gif

Nope, you will be charged interest for all the new transactions done. Like your statement amount is rm1000 but you only pay rm950, that rm50 will charge 18% of interest.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 7 2015, 02:43 PM)
Nope, interest dude... Don't play play.

Woooo what...? blink.gif I thought I read somewhere by paying the minimum stated amount, can avoid the interest being charged... rclxub.gif Meaning all these while I misunderstood and gotten myself with wrong info rclxub.gif Lucky I pay full amount every month sweat.gif Thanks anyway laugh.gif

No statement said so.

Paying minimum amount will keep your ccris record clean, but can't avoid the interest.
Thank you for the input notworthy.gif

Do you all still keep your M2C once you gotten your Ikhwan card? I'm considering of cancelling it unless it still offers certain benefits that worth keeping.
I'm still keeping it, partially as backup, plus no AF and at least still got x5 TP for AMEX laugh.gif

I also didn't receive such SMS. I'm a M2Cards Plat user, I don't think it matters which card you are using. laugh.gif

That said, I won't spend RM 5k now and already went to Legoland before. wub.gif laugh.gif
I think it matters, due to salary requirement and credit limit? hmm.gif

I just found put today that Maybank revoked the 5% cash back for AMEX cards on weekend spending and only limit it on dining! Quietly they go and cancel it... and for the past month I have been careful to spend on my credit card during weekends. They should've at least have the courtesy to inform their card holders

I wanna change card already. Any good alternatives with good cashback value?
Depending on your main usage lor... Most of us applied (some switch / convert) MBB Islamic Ikhwan MasterCard smile.gif 5% CB for petrol and groceries on Friday and Saturday...

just recalled, i updated my auto billing in celcom payment setting online last month after payment via M2U, thus entitled for rebate, i guess.

Maybe MBB 2Cards... hmm.gif
* Lifetime fee Waiver (Citi's Clear kena bayar AF)
* 5x Unlimited TP (3x Citi's Rewards pts with selected Merchants only)
* 5% CB on Dinning at Weekends (NO CB on CT's Clear)

Which's attract him Jumped Ship to MBB... laugh.gif
Never forget the "additional 1.25% CB" if to convert TP points to cash vouchers laugh.gif

1) no AF
2) tulan with Citibank wish dont allow Af Wavier
3) i use up to rm60k-70k per year for citibank, i think i entitled for the waiver
4) Citibank double up the redeemed point on their item this year. if you compare with last year and this year redeemed point item.
How about your record? Clean yet unable to waive waive...? doh.gif I think they are pushing users to use the Reward point... Anyway back to M2Cards, if you are interested, do check out the promotion from https://ringgitplus.com/en/credit-card/Maybank/ icon_rolleyes.gif

Can you share which voucher redemption actually gets 1.25%? smile.gif
Whichever shopping voucher that MBB promotes (eg: Giant, Isetan, AEON, IKEA etc), and only applicable redemption over the counter

Sample calculation:
Cash vouchers: RM50
Treat Points required: 20,000 TP
Assuming all transactions are x5 TP, you will need to spend RM4,000 to obtain 20,000 TP

RM50
------------- x 100% = 1.25%
(20,000/5)

How long did you guys had to wait before these 2 cards were approved? exactly 10 working days?
Approval is quite fast if documents are complete and also depending on the officer's efficiency. Getting the card is another story... BTW how did you apply? Over the counter or online or call? Anyhow, if everything is smooth, it will be reflected in your M2U on the same or 2nd day. If over the counter, you may get your card on the same day (I think selected branch like The Gardens, KLCC). All the best icon_rolleyes.gif
