Can become a true backup card. Like my PBB's VS already capped to rm50(2 months spending due to change of statement date), so this month this dual card still have some usage.

Pay the stated minimum amount also won't be penalised right?  hmm.gif
*
Nope, you will be charged interest for all the new transactions done. Like your statement amount is rm1000 but you only pay rm950, that rm50 will charge 18% of interest.

u missing the per annum for the interest rate..

I with intention to "forgot" about that, just to make people scare on the interest. If I were to put 0.05% a day, people will be happily paying minimum amount.

Good one!

It's not a good habit to cultivate by paying minimum every month. But that's exactly what every bank wishes the card holders to do.
*
If not mistaken, new transaction also subjected to interest charges shocking.gif
So, spend by your means, not enjoy then suffer nod.gif

Paying minimum amount will keep your ccris record clean, but can't avoid the interest.
*
Who said so? There's ways to keep our record clean, but definitely your way are not.

Thank you for the input  notworthy.gif

Pay full amount on time is the best way to make your record clean as white paper. I've been doing this for the past 16 years(owning credit cards for 20 years).
I always apply a card that with my clean income(after deduct everything) and with my IC only. So far non of them dare to reject me icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(Kilohertz @ Sep 8 2015, 08:12 AM)
Do you all still keep your M2C once you gotten your Ikhwan card? I'm considering of cancelling it unless it still offers certain benefits that worth keeping.
*
Just a simple question : does Ikhwan also give you cash back on dining, utilities whistling.gif
I don't see there's any issue on keeping dual cards since it still have 1.25% of cash back and dine on weekends got 5%(+1.25%).

yeah Aeon Card dont have quota one they have been doing this for 10+ years d. Reason they do this is to promote more customers to shop at their malls.. not for some quota sake.

Maybank got agenda behind one. Same with other banks. It's true la what he said credit card is a loss-loss for banks. The interests they earn is peanuts compare to the rewards they have to hand out to customers at the end of the day (esp for cards like Maybank 2 Cards with so many goodies earlier on).

So maybe one day when Maybank desperate for customer contacts again they will push some other nice card rewards. Imo no point to cancel also since this year's GST implementation no need to pay 50 for tax a card d.. the tax have been abolished as Gov cannot impose so many taxes on people. They decided to scrap the credit card tax. You wanna have 100 credit cards also no issue as long can waive their annual fee (check properly as some cards need swipe a number of times, above certain spending amount etc).. enjoy the 5X points while u can.. but prepare to have backup plan when the day arrives.  smile.gif

Do ask Tan Sri Teh does his business not performing? He is top ten of the richest in Malaysia whistling.gif
18% of interest rate are very high and a lot of people are serving this shakehead.gif

Why do you need this card anymore? It is worthless junk now. Except if you eat outside every weekends.
*
In some sense it is a junk card, but still, it can pay almost everything, as long as the merchant accepting it.
And redeem AeonBig gift card and use it on 28th you are getting rm110.25.

How long did you guys had to wait before these 2 cards were approved? exactly 10 working days?
*
Depends on what day and time you apply(if not those fast approval center), like mine, I only submitted my IC and approved on the 5th day(applied on Monday morning, approved on Friday morning), since my relationship with maybank are quite good and that branch's officer know my colleagues.
Got the cards on next week, usually if everything goes smooth, you shall be getting the cards within 2 weeks from the day you apply, provided the officer submit your application ASAP. Sometimes you get it late is due to the offier forgot doh.gif

Just want to ask, easy payment will charge me interest or not?

Because the shop says easy payment 0% interest over 12months.

I dont know about easy payment thinggy.

Please advice me. Thank you

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 10 2015, 07:22 PM)
Maybank might charge you 0% interest but some shops will charge you hefty service charge. Please check with the shop again.
*
Do more survey is the keyword when buying something.
Cannot afford to buy in cash, buying using easy payment are wrong to begin with. As most shops that doing easy payment will charge some admin fee of minimum rm50 or 5%, which ever higher. Some maybe charge 0% or rm0 admin fee but the price are much higher.
Only opt for this if the price are really low and with 0 admin fee.

True.
The only time I did this was last year when I attended Maybank's iPhone 6 event which if you opt for EPP for 6 months, you get RM 300 discount. Who doesn't want? laugh.gif No admin fees, and 0% interest. laugh.gif
Though I still don't understand why Maybank wants to do this. If you pay full (without EPP) only RM 100 discount. laugh.gif

Not yet. Maybe not approve  gua.

Never applied any card from RP before, so can't comment.
As I only apply a credit card by walking in to the bank's branch and collect the card from there(never use postage service also).
usually you shall be getting SMS stating your application is success after 1 week of the application.

Hi all. I got a n00b question.
I'm interested to purchase something from a shop that doesn't provide any Ezypay installment. Is it possible to apply from Maybank to convert a payment to installment type?
Thanks in advance.
*
Pay using cash lor, simple only.
If you can't afford to buy, then don't buy. Taking installment plan that won't generate money are very bad to begin with.
