Does upgrading to plat give any extra benefit? Or can uprade to plat make you eligble for another bump in credit limit?
*
Erm, to me it's the same. You could check out the extra benefit which is useless for me. I appreciate the toll free line for VS and Plat holders, love that. thumbup.gif
Well, if your CL is below 15k then your Plat will bump your CL as it seems minimum CL for Plat is 15k.

My CL for my plat card is only 12k but that's probably cause I had no credit history when I applied. Doesn't matter, lower CL lower risk of overspending biggrin.gif

yeah, after shopback reduced the cb to 5% for room below rm220, it's time to use mbb link again for 7%. but why don't you use booking.com instead?

Nothing to shout about. Citibank gets 10% off booking at Expedia.

QUOTE(blstz @ Feb 17 2016, 09:04 AM)
hello, im planning to pay for my wedding dinner with my maybank amex card to get 5x points. i called CS to asked whether it is possible to pay over my credit limit. he said if i pump the card with cash then i can swipe the cash amount + my original limit.

eg. credit limit RM20k
Pump in cash RM10k
Can swipe max RM30k

can anyone confirm whether this is possible or anyone done it before successfully? i feel like i read somewhere before that Amex dont allow "over-paying"? pls correct me if i am wrong.

last thing i want is to end up having all my cash "stuck" in my credit card because i cant swipe over my credit limit.

thanks! smile.gif

Does Maybank issue you a PIN when you collect or receive your Mayban2Card Platinum Card ?

Mine collect from Branch, they did not issue. But just now i receive a letter from Maybank

it say that the card is ready and "We will also be happy to issue you a new PIN instantly when you collect your card or at any other Maybank branch closet to you."

I'm quite sure the PIN isn't given by default for MBB CC for now (I don't think MBB has started issuing CnP cards yet). You can go to branch and ask for PIN if you feel you need it.

My card is collected on 22 Feb , not CnP type. The branch adviser say bank will auto send new CnP type card when time comes.
I got ask her about the PIN, she say need to request only will give.

But the letter i get is will issue when collect card.
