be adventurous - strip off your laptop and apply AS5 for pure heat transfer between cpu (no integrated heat sink - just direct CPU die) and heat sink

60 degree is a very good temperature for mobile computers. Intel mobile processors can reach 70-80 degree celcius with ease.

Wrong...

New AMD processors are made to run cooler than Intel processors...

All new AMD processor are much much cooler than all new line of Intel Processors...

So basically, you're notebook runs cooler actually... icon_rolleyes.gif

Okay, I've read some documentation on Turion. It can take up to 95 degrees before throttling or shutting down. Consider your laptop cool.

Wrong...

New AMD processor nowadays, generates lesser heat if compared to Intel processors... [Except for Core2Duo processors la tongue.gif ]

Bear in mind that you're using a Dual Core processor...

So, in notebook, that 60degrees temperatures are considered low liao...

Go find you're friend who's using Centrino Core Duo notebooks, u'll be delighted to know that you're notebook is running much cooler than those Centrino Core Duo notebooks... cool.gif

No need to worry about that... wink.gif

The hype about C2D running cooler than the X2s is a myth. The low power consumption figures given for C2D is a bit like the 5000 Watts PMPO thingy for mini compos. The true hifi amps only pump 50 Watts RMS oso will blow away the 5000 Watt PMPO. Intel uses a different way to derive the lower figures. That's all. I have both n I can tell u the C2D is a heat monster too. The fellas upgrading from Prescotts to C2D will think it's cool. Those who haf both AMD n C2D will tell u the heat is the same.

If you were using, you could use a software called "Notebook Hardware Control" to undervolt. Since you're not, the only option is notebook cooler. The Evercool recommended is a good one.

i owned 3000z series before, and the temp u r running is just fine

i used it to fold 2 clients (100% loading) 24 hours for one month before sold it, it can reach 69c in very hot afternoon, while air con room will be around 65c full load

the gc temp is even worse, start up it's already 62c, normal usage like browsing n typing is ~70c, gaming 80++c, so i think it's very high chance not accurate becoz of the bios issue or watever reason, or the gc can really suffers more than 100c

i tried customise cooler for it but no point, the cpu heatsink area is just too small, the hole for air inflow is only 1/4 of the fan, wherever where i customise my fan, the CPU was only 2-3 celcius cooler, unlike other laptops, the hv big heatsink w 1 complete fan hole, notebook cooler will helps a lot, same to the gc, doesnt improve much neither

my suggestion, just enjoy the heat tongue.gif unless u play it in aircon room, or the result is more or less the same, the proc can suffer up to 95c
