The hype about C2D running cooler than the X2s is a myth. The low power consumption figures given for C2D is a bit like the 5000 Watts PMPO thingy for mini compos. The true hifi amps only pump 50 Watts RMS oso will blow away the 5000 Watt PMPO.  Intel uses a different way to derive the lower figures. That's all.  I have both n I can tell u the C2D is a heat monster too. The fellas upgrading from Prescotts to C2D will think it's cool. Those who haf both AMD n C2D will tell u the heat is the same.
