3.66 is like worth taking since FD also 4.5% hahaha... but dont apply unless URGENT!
*
Personal loan 3.66% means that effective interest rate is at least 7% - 8%. That's doubled of fd rate. Please know the difference

Please google effective interest rate and flat interest rate. Personal loan is flat interest rate.

I believe RM 150 during the whole campaign period. That's the max you get.
*
Ya I understand.

So max is 2% of cash back... my question is... is it based on transaction date or posting date. Since their t&c did not mention this.

Why didn't they send this earlier. Could have used this to pay the insurance... wasted...

35% discount for buffer for participating restaurant/hotel, anyone has tried this?

*does annual fee waiver requirement the same for supplementary card for the 1st year?
subsequent year will be subjective to whatever they want?
*
Haven't tried... But yes the discount is for you to use. Note that it is not just for buffets. Basically as long as you are dining there.

But got certain days not entitled or something. like v-day or something. And certain buffets not entitled.

did you guys sign up for credit shield select upon applying any citi credit cards? is it worth it? for a premium of RM0.60 for every RM100 in statement balance.

edit: i already have my own insurance..
*
truly not worth it.

1) those who need it, ie, they have a lot of outstanding balance, this will make things worse, because just increases the payment that they have to make every month.

2) those who don't need it, ie, clear their outstanding balance every month, well, they don't need it...

at RM0.60 per RM100 translates to RM60 per month for RM10,000. in insurance, that's expensive.

so... don't...

may i know when is your anniversary? For me this is the first time they did not fully waive for me. Normally everytime I call for waiver, it is automatically put up for request and granted (There was 1 year I forgot to call for waiver but that one is my fault). But this time they transferred me to "Waiver Department" and then said only can waive 50%. I am using Clear card and use it as my main card to charge for my spending.
*
If you look back some of the experience of those who replied here, the results vary on whether we get waiver or not. Another pointed out that he spends minimally on clear card but got his waiver.

Anyway, since you are gonna call again, good luck. but if and really if your luck runs out, the other option to not pay is convert to choice card, and not having to clear your instalment.

Hi everyone, quick question, if i wanna buy IPhone from Apple Malaysia website, how can i do 0% installment plan for that transaction or is that even possible? Thanks.
*
I think I saw in the mac studio in jaya shopping centre, offering 0% ipp with certain banks. Not sure about the t&c. Should be applicable for all mac studio?

Also, if I rmb correctly, citibank is one of the participating banks.

Hi, May I know is anyone using Citibank Rewards Platinum Card?
Is this card good? Since it can choose categories and 5X rewards points...
Or it's better to take Maybank 2 cards Gold/Platinum since also got 5X points with AMEX. rclxub.gif
*
Just to point out, only amex gives 5x points. And amex is not always widely accepted. And transactions such as petrol is 1x points. On the other hand, for citibank, it's only certain categories...

slightly different from mine last year, in Oct. Not willing to waive until it has been charged. after it was charged i called in, it was waived easily.

The funny part is, I don't remember using the card for any overseas transactions. Hmmmm~~~ at least in my transactions list, I don't see any overseas transactions

Found it. Somewhere in February I bought albums from cd japan. Perhaps it's that. But don't know which promo though

Why pm here in order to apply a credit card?should apply at Citibank website or third party website like ringgitplus I guess?
*
Some people still old school & lazy. Even when we can start applying for citibank credit card online at least 2 years ago. biggrin.gif

Want to check, those for got the 1% overseas cash back, do you remember whether it was a sms or email that you received that says you qualified for the campaign?

Also, seems like online transaction in foreign currency qualifies (my only transaction was online). Just want to confirm.

Rmb not to get charged annual fee next year.

Actually, find this card not much benefit except for the b1f1 @ coffee bean and cinema on Fridays.

Citibank no longer issue new MasterCard anymore? Except for the Prestige card, which is the only MasterCard for Citibank Malaysia.

Those who has the existing MasterCard still remain, just that no more new application for MasterCard..wink.gif
*
Actually just because they encourage visa, I dont think they dont have mastercard for new application. They do have mc/visa for most cards. Except maybe the premier miles, cause it's really for visa signature.
