Hi,
I have a CitiReward card for like almost 2years.. the reason why I keeping it is because of the Premium Lounge access in KLIA, but the other benefit is really not that good. I got AF waived for the first 3 years and this is my second years.
I did some research and I am keen to apply for Citi PremierMile Card but this one has very high AF. I try to live chat them say whether can they help me to waive it before i apply. They replied say is on case-to-case basis and i can only request once the AF is charged to my card.
I am thinking should i try my luck now to apply the Citi PM card or convert the Reward to Citi PM... after the AF charged then only I request to waive it...
If they dont want to waive for me, then i will cancel it... what did you all think? If i cancel the card, do i still need to pay for the AF for the Citi PM?
Got my PremierMiles card last Dec, I was same situation like you.
Holding Citibank Visa reward card for few months and apply again for PremierMiles card, after approved I just cancel reward card.
So no issued for first year of annual fee of PremierMiles card, and few days ago been charge for annual fee and lucky to get waiver too
Conclusion, just go apply it, live chat Customer Service Team their reply is standard
