Lets start from the top

First the over littering of pinned threads.
FAQ Thread - Retain FAQ but add a Q & A section at the end that will cleaned out by the end of the month.
Friend Code Thread - Poster can list the game they have without the code, other forumer that want to exchange FC can PM the poster directly. (taking a leaf out of Mud's book)
Upcoming Game release Thread - Redundant. They can check it at gamefaqs.com. Delete it
Chamber of Commerce - Can be retained but again, redundant. We have a Garage Sales thread specifically selling games. Why put another copy where? You confuses people.
Read Me First Thread - same as FAQ thread. Redundant
Meet-up Thread - Delete all the redundant post. Retain all the stuff that matters only
More Mods - I propose PM to mod. He is here all the time, he doesnt do hammer of justice on new guys. He actually does what he says (playing ori only) and who else is more dedicated to Nintendo then him?
Rewriting entire FAQ - Waste of time, the existing one is already there. New writer can just take that and improve on it.
Kopitiam is the most active thread because ppl try their best to be spammer king. WTF for? I disagree with the fact that kopitiam should be removed but I would propose that every new Kopitiam thread will be opened by the Mod, this will reduce ppl posting more post just so they can have the honor of being the first to open a new Kopitiam thread. get a life.
Zero Piracy Tolerance Policy? You might as well take a gun to the LYN server and shoot it. Piracy exist, live with it. Zero tolerance makes you a Punisher. Never a good thing when there is scarely enough people in this forum. I am not saying you should turn a blind eye on it, but it would be better if you tolerate it but try to steer them towards the light.

Many topics that are started here are non-kopitiam regular. Do you know why? If i were to post a question in kopitiam, immediately one person will answer with a vague answer and then the rest of them ignore it. or, the question is ignored totally. Hence the proposal that FAQ thread is use as a Q & A Thread. It will be better. Point them there everytime they start a thread. report the newly opened thread. and then answer the question there.
Edit: I am willing to keep a look out at the FAQ thread still, if you want new stuff added in. PM me. Do not post it somewhere randomly in kopitiam in the thread and expect me to do it. I am sorry. I have a life.  so if you want something done, PM me, PM the respective related ppl.  But dont TCSS.

What happen to the FAQ? I originally told you that an DS FAQ was an unnecessary piece of clutter requiring a lot of consistent work and research. It would also imply that should you want to leave it be then someone is just gonna complain about it somewhere down the line.

What happened to the FAQ? the one posted was what you requested what.. I do rememeber you telling me that, and i do remember (its actually in this thread) that you told me to rewrite the whole crap to be more informative. and do a bit of plagarism. Did that already mar....

I offered to hand it off to anyone that wanted to make it more complete or fill up the blank. No one took up the offer.

And no, its not a one off job. I consistently update it during the first few month. Then it fizzled out. I did not get any pm regarding the need to update it, add more information or what not.

The last person that asked me to add in information to the FAQ was Penman after he updated an extensive part in regard about USB dongle

I did find a solution. Granted the solution given by me perpetuated an argument which followed.

What about my suggestions on abolishing the redundant thread?

Personally i felt the DS FAQ and Wii FAQ thread should be kept although i am not sure of the merit of that. Considering I don't read it.

Anyhow, some solutions has been proposed as for now, perhaps time to start with some of them?

Phoenix: You and rev are doing are saying near to nothing about fixing this sub-forum. If you have a beef with him challenging your honor then go do it somewhere else.

Perhaps we can start with the Friend Code first. There's two at the moment, which is really quite redundant. We can go by what you (Mud) already suggested earlier, one post per member only. For easier tracking, I'll recommend having forumers link their FC's post in their own signatures, it'll also make updating less hassle if they can just access it from sig?

It's also time for us to actually start having proper reviews by those who already complete/in the middle of completing (return to update the review when you are done) any game tittle. I noticed we have none of such thing and game talks are mostly bits and parcels with very little value.

Having a thread with Upcoming Tittle along with Review Booking might work? Once a new game is in the slots, interested gamers can start booking review slots. They'll have ample time to research the games, grab screenshots (remember credits please) and of course buy the game.

Then we'll have an Official LYN Nintendo Review Thread (or whatever fancy name you like) and compile all these reviews there. One post per game, reviewers to PM mod their review in posting format and mod to attach (too much work? other solutions?).

But I am just mulling over, I am not here for long, am not sure if it will even work.
