QUOTE(lchee @ Nov 9 2015, 03:32 PM) questions to gundam model kit expert/veteran here. I do not play with model kits much, but i like gundam. The only kit i toy around with was like almost 13 years ago when i was bored and just bought an MG gundam wing endless waltz model. Got it made, and just display it. Couldn't really play much with it as the joints aren't really tight like transformers toys. It felt fragile. Now that more than a decade has passed, I do hope the technology of the gundam kit has advanced where the completed version will be more playable. Gonna check out the gunpla show tomorrow. Wanna ask if I should look for the master grade or the real grade version? I was reading, it seems real grade is more recent, so maybe the quality is better? Considering to get 00 raiser, just not sure RG or MG is better. Also, what are the essential cutter tools i need? Back then all i used was a pair of scissors and my nail cutter. I recommend that you don't try RG. The parts are too fine/small. And you'll need proper nipper and crafting knife. If you want some big punpla with rather tight joints, i suggest the RE100 except Nightingale.

If you want to 'play', please get Robot Damashi or Metal Build, their joints can take heavier 'punishment'.

having problem with seamline covering. i used putty and sanded them evenly, it looks flat, however after painting they become visible, scratch marks & uneven surface harder to spot before priming/coating even though they look even from eyes.
they do look much better than before but still visible.
i painted the parts before assembly puttying/sand then another coat on the seam sanded areas.
i find the problem more on spray painting, whereas brush painting can hide the marks easier by putting wetter coat around the seam but need to sand them afterwards due to uneven/too thick.

What were you using to paint over the putty? Aibrush? Spray Can?

QUOTE(limjenson @ Nov 9 2015, 07:00 PM) Anyone knows of anyway to get replacement parts? replacement parts > search for cheap assembled kit. Defect, broken parts are fine as long its not the parts you wanted already done this its cheaper than buy new whole kit This post has been edited by nazrul90: Nov 9 2015, 08:43 PM

Nu gundam titanium finish going for RM400 at the expo... Don't really see many expo limited items left... Some MG prices are reasonable, like MG 00 seven swords going for 197...MG build strike gundam with full pack 150... PG banshee 923...

QUOTE(carpathia @ Nov 10 2015, 11:00 AM) Expo items all sold out ? That was quick Not really, only the Try Burning. Among things I noticed: Some prices were confusingly tagged. A few Nu Ka Titanium were priced at 575, some were 400. You would have guessed that at least some IBO kits would have been on sale, but no. There was a fat Armuro Ray. Biggest gripe: Let's take a guess game how many people didn't bathe this morning.

Biggest gripe: Let's take a guess game how many people didn't bathe this morning. I think no IBO kits mainly because most of them have yet to reach our shore They do have display for all of the upcoming kits (origin, V2, 1/100 barbatos) Lost interest towards the expo kits after seeing their prices (RG exia extra finish rm290? ) Aside for NU, might as well buy any other MG rather than the expo kits
