all the yellow parts from drion is sticker right?
*
Just like vkcy said, the shiny gold thingy is all stickers...
at least the black is slightly dual tone, with some dark grey for "color separation"...

QUOTE(vkcy @ Oct 5 2015, 11:42 AM)
Yeap. Basically same thing from trion 3.
Just turn it black and different "horn"
*
i think the shoulder is slightly different too, at least that what i think, based from the instruction guide (which is basically the Tryon 3 assemble instruction guide with a piece of paper for assembling the head and shoulder of Dryon Drei sweat.gif )...
although the "horn" look aggressive and i prefer this design, but there a huge sacrifice to it...
the lower part of the horn can get in the way of posing, especially when trying to move the shoulder...

I felt bandai has really injected a new breath of air into barbatos. 1st time we are having inner frame for a hg. Not bad bandai.

and a HG with articulation close to RG and MG thumbup.gif
Since there's NG 1/100 with frame, if they come out with MG i might consider it, assuming the inner frame will be much much details than the NG

It is called as pseudo inner frame, Bandai already use this for new HG before Barbatos..
for example HG Red Frame Flight Type & HGCE Aile Strike

Yeah.
Just saw barbatos' manual on hobby search.
The 'inner frame' is there for the 'exposed parts'.
It does not cover the whole body.

What i meant is that it does not have mechanical like features or panel line separation on the inner frame.
You can see them on the upper arm, back of the lower arm, front of calf and feet.

any quicker way to remove nub marks?

Just the SD Super Gundam mkII already took me 3.5 hours just to do so:

1.Remove parts from runners with cutter.
2.Remove remaining nubs from parts & scratch mold lines with hobby knife.
3.Sand nubs marks with 600 sand paper
4.Sand nub marks with 1000 sand paper
5.Wash every part

In the end some nub marks still not fully remove maybe i use 600 but if lower might just damage the parts.

If just doing 1 robot still ok but i try to do as many as i can so i can spray the same colors all at once since spraying separate session waste alot of time & paint.

I heard God hand and wave file can save you a lot of time.
Just heard only, not sure true or not.

i cut the part from runners using conventional nippers and further trim them with single bladed nippers (usually its god hand but i used takumi nippers) and then file it with wave file which is equivalent to 800 or 1000 sandpaper for the fine side.

strongly recommend on the wave file, as for the nippers depends on user whether wanna use double edge tamiya nippers or single edge godhand

Wavefile enable me to skip a few grade of sanding and only go for 1000-2000 straight after using the file laugh.gif
god hand is not necessary i guess, since i will use the coarse file to reduce the height of the nub and then clean it up with wave file Reix

1.Remove parts from runners with cutter.
2.Cut remaining nubs smaller & scratch mold lines with hobby knife.
3.USE FILE TO FILE OFF THE SMALL NUB MARK.
4.Sand nubs marks with 600 -> 1000 -> 1200 sand paper
5.WHEN FINISH SANDING WITH SANDPAPER, THE SURFACE WILL BE LIKE BLUR AND FULL OF SCRATCH MARKS, USE FEMALE NAIL FILE POLISHER TO POLISHER THE PARTS.
6.Wash every part (with water + toothbrush / just use your fingers)

how long it takes to remove the nub with the file?

and how long usually it takes for you to finish sanding a SD kit?

do you need to polish with nail polisher since marks will be covered by primer.

unsure bout others but hg took me around 30mins to 2 hours depends on how big and complex of the hg build

sd should be around just below 1 hour depends on which era of sd, older tends to be faster coz simpler

Assuming standard SD kit has 50 parts, each part has 3 nubs, so total is 150 nubs. Based on Gundam Generation F SDs.

If you can complete it within 1 hour, that means you can complete 1 nubs every 24 seconds, even at 30 seconds that is really quick.

we talking about cutting, trim, file x1.

assume it takes 3 seconds to cut 1 nub, you are left with 27 seconds to trim & file each nub. that's just fast.
