About to make a purchase for a Preve CFE.
My wife and I needed a new car. We thought our current saga was quite unsafe. The economic weather didn't look all that great to buy an expensive car as well.

We didn't expect much when we went to the showroom for a test drive.
But the salesperson was very patient and good to us. We actually tested Iris and Preve CFE like 6 times.
Story short, I am pretty amazed and proud of where Proton is going towards. It might look cliched but I felt a sense of pride when we finally decided to buy a Proton.

I would like to ask the forum's opinion on adding a reverse camera for the car, should I buy the one the showroom suggested (RM450)? or is there a cheaper way to add a camera and still keep the warranty for everything installed on the car?

Also, we are getting the CFE because we heard that the IAFM+ feels underpowered.
Would it be better to get the IAFM one if we wanted a quieter car?
Is there an alternative to adding a reverse camera on the IAFM+ Preve without spending too much as well?

Btw, guys, anyone encounter such problem and manage to solved it by ownself, problem that i am facing now, was the damn power window, in which supposed to auto shut when u pull up the window trigger button, but it is not fully winded up, and infact, in order for you to make it shut, u actually have to like pull up the trigger a few times just so it is properly shut...I know that this is due to the sensitivity of the power window as to it has the anti trap fuction..to be honest, i think i actaully did manage to main tikam and fixed it before, but...somehow or rather, i have tried every posible ways but still...it's getting freaking annoying... with the current haze...gosh! Any idea on this matter? I did a few searched on lyn forums but...it was somehow or rather discontinued and i couldn't find the answer for it, any bros (or sis) are willing to share how you guys solve it...(if you encounter such case, i believe you will be as a annoyed as me)...so please care to share the help if possbile... thanks all.

I also discovered there are two stages of power windows pull switch after I have such anti-trap problem.

I was thinking along the same lines too even though I have not driven the Suprima or cars which come with the new VT3+. Although the car may be quieter, I don't expect it to be a lot quieter than cars which come with the older VT3. The sound or roar from the engine during acceleration.

how to know whether it is VT3 or VT3+?
my preve CFE is 2014 manufacture.

2015 manufactured preve comes with VT3+?

recently, when drive 110 above
my steering slightly vibrate,
not as worse like when 1st time receive car, where they have to replace brake disc.
why eh?

i recently change both back tyres, did not did any alignment, is it the reason?

front tyres almost 40k
rear tyres new

few months back when i switch back to front, front to back,
i did balancing n alignment
although they use inspira setting, not preve

then last month i change rear tyres to new one, they did balancing
if steering vibrate probably front tyre the culprit right?

Hi, I'm planning to buy the Preve Turbo as my new car. Is it a reliable one? Or will it give me a lot of headache as in maintenance wise? Cause I really like its design and specs. Thanks.

im picking up my new preve sometime next week. have been reading this forum for the last few pages and of course the OP. very informative, kudos to all of u. glad i'll be part of this helpful community, if permitted of course. 

any plan for TT during deepavali holiday? would be good to have hands on learning from some of the otais here.

im planning to add full leather seat installed by proton panel for 2.8k. is it worth it or should i just stick to existing fabric?

also fyi, have been driving 2008 savvy amt for couple of years now. a very fun car but reliability is a bit on the low side. time to get a new reliable horse.

If I put at gear N or P.  I just hard press the petrol paddle on max, what I noticed was the rpm meter just go up to max ~3.5.  May I know is this just normal? Thx in advance. Btw I had nvr tried before during drive mode :-)

Thx all. Not really need the higher rpm reading. Just want to make sure this is normal and won't affected during necessary  accelating while driving.  Thx again :-)

I have no chance to keep at 90-100 as my daily route always having heavy jam...  Petrol consumption is killing me anyway but I'm enjoying the ride :-)

I'm receiving my CFE next week, if it is not a good one, i'm going to change it to a better one.

hi guys, i installed a reverse camera and installed it above my back number plate. problem is, the image that appears on my HU is reversed. anyway to reverse that?

Wind noise with windscreens, the fault is usually with the rubber lining around the windscreen. When I had the Nissan Sylphy, the mechanic rectified the wind noise with the rubber lining by inserting small pieces of rubber into areas where the lining had gaps that may have caused the wind sound (the shape of the rubber lining may have deformed due to bad batch of rubber or something else). No more wind sound after that. In my case the windscreen was at the driver's side.

Not sure if the Proton guys will "take the trouble" to rectify the wind sound for you. The last visit to the SC where I have bad rattling sound from the doors on the left side (either the front or rear), they claimed they have "tightened" something but in the end, it's still the same. Rattling sound is still there. I think they have not done anything to my complaint.

P/S  Tried to visualise the mirror-camera in the car. Noted that the black cover on the windscreen for the wiper rain detection may be blocking the camera's view. Anyone has installed such camera and your way around this? Thanks.
