May I know what is the reason for the headlamp bulb to fail so easily? Not sure is it worth it to replace it at Proton again.
*
The mechanics at my regular SC said changing the wire harness would solve the problem.

Usually your banker would offer you a credit card as well, but still depends on your risk.

Jerking issues when low rpm (1000-2000) or in reverse mode ? (if yes, by proton SC or 3rd party SC)?
*
It's not an issue actually, it's the design of the transmission. Unlike other CVT car, you do not step hard on the accelerator from stand still, just a gentle step. Once over 2k rpm, then do as you like.

Not really true all the times on proton customer service. So far i had been getting very fast response all the time, especially complaining about SC. Last time i say about my engine mounting problem, i was offshore tat time then my father say the SC call him everyday to ask if i am back onshore tat the car can be sent over for inspection or not. They start taking action just 1-2days after my complain most the time. Most of the time it isnt proton itself is slow, the SC itself is the main culprit. My seats i change 3 times oledi, this my 3rd driver seat and so far no more berbulu and sound. The seat come just like 1months top? i dont feel long about it.

My advice is, go to a better SC, or fuk the SC up via wecare proton. I believe proton will screw the SC badly if their rep is bad. Thats y when i complain my SC no give me warranty for the engine mounting, the SC mechanic lead actually told me, next time anything i help u settle, don call proton first lol.
*
That's also the case for me, encountered very bad SC and excellent SC.

Preve CFE seems very nice...

after reading though page 1, lots of my worries are gone...

TBH, should i replace my trouble-free-but-rattling inspira with preve??
AFAIK, the boot are bigger, performance are better...
i'm not new to Proton, as i have driven and own lots of proton cars before..
*
Not worth it if coming from Inspira.

It's been a long time since I'm last active here.. Anyone here still face problem of CVT heat up issue when cruising at high speed? I kena twice alrd this week on highway. Drive high speed halfway the CVT light lights up, then the transmission went dead. Have to stop at emergency lane to restart the engine. Just 170km/h leh.. Engine can tahan but CVT can't?
*
No issue so far.

I think I got "cheated", as my premium spec does not come with EcoTint film, just normal safety film.
So as a reminder for future buyer, ask your SA and secure the EcoTint film when purchasing premium spec.

Check the warranty card first.

Warranty card attached.
If the tint is part of the production line, then how come I have a different tint than other?
Also, if I remembered correctly, my SA told me that after they got the car, need to do tinting and other stuffs before can pass the car to me.
From what my SA said, it sounds like the tint is after production job.

I suggest you to call Proton Careline, perhaps there are changes to the CFE package, before you go and bombard your SA.

Maybe Proton changed vendor from Ecotint to this brand, seeing there's a tag saying it's an approved vendor.

Not sure if they have changed the package for the CFE version.

I took my car to service center to service, while waiting for service to complete, I took a look at some unsold Preve CFE parking at the sales branch there, I noticed that some of those cars has EcoTint label/paper hanging at the windscreen rear mirror. I would presume that those cars some together with EcoTint film, because I saw some instructions on the label/paper if not mistaken.
*
Yes mine came with it and a warranty card with serial number. You should just call the Careline and find out.

For owners of the Preve who did not have any problems with the car, I wonder if they have experienced a louder CVT whine from the car? Or the CVT remains the same from day 1 in not showing increased levels of sound/whine throughout the months or years.
*
Mine is pretty normal. All cars will deteriorate over time.

Reading this thread is very entertaining with all the sounds laugh.gif

I'm lucky my CFE doesn't give much trouble, only minor ones like creaky seats and rattling sounds.

Hello there all preve sifus. My preve turbo recently make a loud squeaking noise whenever I brake at low speed. Anyone encounter the same thing? My car mileage is only at 12k. Shouldn't be worn out brake pads right? Thanks
*
Squeaks are fine, due to thin rust formation that will usually go away in time. This is normal.

However if it screeches then it could be a serious problem.

Thanks for the reply. Is there anyway to remove the squeaking noise? It's quite embarrassing to drive around especially in indoor car park due to the echo  sweat.gif
*
What else? WD-40 of course smile.gif but do not spray on the brake pad, bad idea.

Or if you want more assurance, you can buy specialized spray or grease at any accessories shop, Eneos should have the product.

Oh thanks for the tips smile.gif . So I just spray wd-40 at the surface of disc brake that's right behind the rim?
*
Yes, but very little. Mind you the purpose of the brake is to stop the wheels.

However I highly recommend you to just wait it out and let wear and tear solve the issue on their own.

Any service shop should be OK, as long as properly equipped.

Cost should be around RM50 to RM80 in KL (all tyres).
