polo sedan owner here. ECU bracket in engine bay area is fragile, mostly will be broken within 2 years.
not sure if polo have center arm rest? the arm rest compartment's plastic opener is very very fragile, don't always play that as it will be broken.

Sorry which model is this? is it dry clutch? (cant comment on dry, since mine is wet).

As for polish/wax....just go with basic clay/polish/wax and then maintain it with regular wash and wax spray top-ups

Is the Passat 2.0 HL with wet clutch.

Ahh i see, I bought a recon unit from VW official for super cheap. Everything in it seems to be brand new except with 20,000km on the mileage.
Yes the polo HB does come with an armrest which i tested. Thanks for the info man!

interested on vw on performance engine such as 1.2 or 1.4 but concern on dsg gearbox:
1. Is the mechatronic(is this correct term) need to be replace by mileage or replace when it is faulty? how much?
2. The clutch plate need to be replaced at which mileage reading? how much is the replacrment?
3. What is the interval mileage for dsg servuces? (oil etc,)

TQ

normal odb2 bluetooth dongle cannot be used. for detailed diagnostics you need vagcom software.

Could you explain by detailed diagnostics, such as?

Shouldnt the OBD2 be able to provide the error code and possible failure/errors?
Thx

Many manufacturer extends the standard OBD2 codes. Need their own scan tool to make use of it. sweat.gif

Basic info you have to try. Might be too little info being given by standard OBDII. No harm trying. Plenty cheap OBDII connector / adaptor in the market.

Sorry, i guess, i didnt mention when i commented to the initial post from frostfox...i do have couple of them that used on my cars...to date it has been useful in resetting, clearing error log, finding any sensor failures. It also logs pretty much all the necessary reading from ECU, hence my initial question on 'detailed diagnostic ", probably there is some reading that might be proprietary to brand (VW, bmw, etc) but i guess, obd2 should be able to read atleast 80-90% of the stuff, maybe.

Agree with you. No harm of giving it a try. thumbup.gif Some China made OBDII I've tried before quite extensive. Can read some proprietary codes too. Some just 'read only' standard OBDII output. sweat.gif
