Hi bro, I am driving a passat cc 2.0 year 2011. Love every bit of this car although it is almost 5 years old and my warranty will be expiring soon, the looks and design of this car never gets old. Still my sexy beast 

In terms of cost of ownership, pretty much bulletproof except for the absorbers kinda expensive to replace. About Rm3.5k per pair but it last quite long cuz I replaced it at 4th year of ownership. In terms of handling, it can pretty much take any corner at high speed. Put it in S mode and you can really feel the push thanks to the DSG 

If you are talking about the 2.0TSI, it comes with 6 speed wet DSG. If you are talking about the 1.8TSI, it comes with the 7 speed dry DSG which is more problematic. My DSG so far still working well, no issues with it. If you want the 2.0 + 6 speed combo, you should be aiming year 2011 or older if my memory doesn't fail me, they came out with the facelift around 2012 which is the 1.8 + 7 speed combo.

My advise is go for the 2.0 + 6 speed because its faster and more reliable

Thx for ur info.. Yes his warranty is out already.. And service centre asked for rm1k for the battery replacement alone so he's thinking to replace it with din/ns which is much cheaper.. Any other sifus can advice regarding this matter? Or know any place to find its replacement a bit cheaper? Prefer terengganu/pahang area..

din66 should be equal by spec but dimension wise is different.. din66 is longer by more than inch.. cant fit in the battery housing.. din55 should be the right dimension but when he asked service centre regarding the matter they insist on finding the correct Ah which is 61 for his car otherwise it will give him some prob later on.. 55Ah from din55 is just not enuf as they say..

Just switched to winter tyres... It was already dangerously slippery... Just removing the old ones and mounting new ones costs RM 95, with balancing I spent 150. The tyres were already on the rim.

Yeah... there's a reason why people earn more in Europe (and can, kind of, afford to pay the high taxes!). IIRC a mechanic costs something like 50-100 Euro per hour... RM 250 to 500 or so. And no, he isn't earning that much.
