consumer spending looking good overall in this quarter report. jobs data good. housing numbers good. banks stable. looks like sept rate hike unavoidable. wondering how market will react to it, it's getting close as Oct is coming.  hmm.gif
*
sep, i think.

usd strengthening not over.

which hammers crude even harder.

so, yr oil 44 or 42 may just come. laugh.gif

When usd is strong, people don't want to buy oil because it's more expensive. Therefore oil sales for cheaper price to attract buyers back? Is this the reason why?

This case, how can dollar affect so much on commodities?  hmm.gif

don't forget global economy growth is slowing less demand on commodities too.
weak price in usd cum weak demand = double whammy on commodity exporting countries.
did u notice aud = sgd now? laugh.gif

sgd is the world best currency, better than usd. sgd is the new gold, if anyone worry on usd, buy sgd.  so gold can come back to 800 or 600.  laugh.gif

if black gold can go to 40, yellow gold can go to 800, no argument. biggrin.gif

I thnk it is impt for him to know that if he intends to open a brokerage acct overseas, he must really be prepared with ALL documntations and information in-hand before he buys a ticket to fly there.

And for those who intend to have a brokerage account overseas, please open a bank account there too. ENSURE you can opn a bank acct there. You can then move your funds back and forth between your brokerage cash account and your bank savings account. And if you're an income investor, you can move whatever your remaining dividend from your brokerage cash acct into your bank savings account, then use your foreign bank ATM Card to withdraw the funds from a Msian ATM. Saves you a lot on the wire transfer charges.

actually, i think u hv a lot to share for people with such interests.

why not post on that thread? better leave this thread alone for actual stocks discussion.

if u hadn't notice, there is a new "how do i buy foreign stocks" thread almost every week, most of which nobody bothers to reply.

and that is becos there isn't a well developed and continued thread on that. maybe there is but i had not noticed.

i just try to help by diverting them to the threads i had posted something.

maybe u like to help too!

good job! thumbup.gif

i stick to crude. enough fun to play with coins, sometimes can catch a grouper or two. tongue.gif

here's one view for the coming days:
QUOTE
-“Near term, crude is declining within an extremely steep channel. The market is so weak that the latest bounce couldn’t even make it to channel resistance. 44.60 (close of the 3/18 low day) is a level that could end up providing support for a bounce.” The low for the move so far is 46.66 (close of the low week in March is 46.44). Crude made an outside reversal day today (7/28) at a 17 year trendline today as well. This is a good way (outside reversal) and place (trendline) to form some kind of low.
