I'm also puzzled at crude lately. That 40'ish support been quite strong lately.

If OPEC cuts, I'm sure US/Canadian producers and other non-OPEC will be happy but it may not help much. Still too much oil in the market to be used up. China is slowing their factories down tremendously these past 3 quarters despite their bigger imports in Q2, most of them also goes into their storage. Maybe their govt could decide to have another major infrastructure building in the next year or so to stir up more growth and consumption.

I think too early to say defeat because we still got 3 more months till end of 2015.
Aug/Sept is terrible month (but good for bears) because prices are depressed but for long term investors,
it should be good shopping time.

Let see how Oct will go.. if drop another 80~100 pts for SP500 (back to last Oct low of 1820), should be good for bargain hunting.

You mean WTI hitting 47 instead of Brent, right.?
Brent just sneak its head back to above 50 slightly...

But, we know general market weak except crude/energy is holding up.

It is also 3x percentage move from the opening low.. oil traders sold surged crude into the gap up from 46.xx earlier,
bam, dropped back below 45. DWTI spiked back up. Bulls are more afraid than bears. Bears win again.

Have you also notice that all the gaps are filled too?
Say if gap up big in the morning, then they sell into it by noon to fill that gap from yesterday close.
Or if gap down big, the prices will rise back up by noon to fill that prior day close... back into neutral.

If close down big.. then next day, surely it will move up.
If close up high, next day it will move back down.

The jobs numbers are terrible last month. Should be at least 200k.. that's 50k less than expected.

Anyway, anyone still playing gaming/casinos stocks? Today, we got good bounce for Macau gaming stocks. LVS, MPEL, WYNN, all hit bottom and bouncing hard. Looks like these ikan bilis are turning into groupers..

This week market super strong in absence of China. I think the Wall Street bulls just gotta to jump in after the dismayed jobs numbers from last Friday (bad numbers are now good) because US Fed will delay act on interest rate.

Darn.. this goes to show the market is hooked on low rate. It's like cocaine.

Well, the SP500 hits the same ceiling as Sept high (resistance level) - 2020 here.
Buying volume tonight also lower than last Friday.

It will take more bull power to push another 40+ thru the 2060 level (200ma).

Did you notice that W pattern that just formed from August?

It's moving between 50ma (floor) and 200ma (ceiling - whacked down at $50 yesterday) for past 2 weeks.

It's pulling back down now.. but I think we will see support at the 50ma level ($45).
I think it worth a shot if it pulls back a little more to high 45/low 46 to buy at that level and define stop below 45.
