There are several achievements in Blue Dragon that are unlocked by
obtaining specific items. Although most of the achievements are for
collecting a single item, you will have to collect several other items in
order to be able to get the achievement-related item.

Happily all of the items that you must obtain in order to unlock these
achievements will remain present throughout the game once they become
available, so you need not worry about missing any of them. However, you
will be unable to obtain most of these items until you reach disc three.


Obtain the rare item, the "Bangle of the Ultimate Weapon" - 10 points
レアアイテム「最終兵器の腕輪」入手
In order to obtain the Bangle of the Ultimate Weapon you must first locate
the following items:

謎の部品アルファ (Mysterious Part Alpha(360)) - Moire Village
- This item is picked up automatically, you cannot miss it.

謎の部品ベータ (Mysterious Part Beta(361)) - Ancient Factory
- You must defeat all the Double Lances(219) on the large circular
platform in the Ancient Factory to make the chest containing this
item appear. They will appear to be made of stone, but if you
approach each of them one will activate and you can engage it. Repeat
until they all are defeated and open the chest that appears.

謎の部品ガンマ (Mysterious Part Gamma(362)) - Mecha Base High
- This item is just in a treasure chest in the elevator room in
Mecha Base High - 1F. You will need to have access to the Mechat to
reach this area, but you will not need the Black Device if you just
want this item.

Once you have these three items return to Gibral Castle. Head to the
basement and enter the Mechat Lab. Talk to the Research Director (he is
wearing the funny yellow "hat") and he will assemble these mysterious parts
into the Bangle of the Ultimate Weapon and give it to you. The achievement
will unlock and you will have a very powerful bangle to equip!

Also, if you happen to have the other three mysterious parts at this time
you will also get the Necklace of the Final Conflict and that achievement
will unlock as well.

In order to obtain the Bangle of the Ultimate Weapon you must first locate
the following items:

謎の部品アン (Mysterious Part An(363)) - Alumaru Village
- This item is in a treasure chest in the Basement area of the
Treasure Storehouse. To reach this chest you just have to fall in to
the hole in the "first floor" of the Treasure Storehouse that is
closest to the room where the fight with Jeelala takes place.

謎の部品ドゥ (Mysterious Part Du(364)) - Sea Cube
- This item is in a treasure chest in a room in the Deepest Area of the
Sea Cube. You will need to defeat the boss of the area, Leviathan in
order to access the room that the chest lies in.

謎の部品トロゥ (Mysterious Part Tru(365)) - Western Deserted Island
- Just fly to the Western Deserted Island once you have full access to
the Mechat and open the treasure chest there to receive this item.
The Western Deserted Island can be seen from the Wetland, and is
just South of the West-most part of the Wetland. (You may have even
seen this chest across the water early in the game when you were
heading to the Undersea Caverns.)

Once you have these three items return to Gibral Castle. Head to the
basement and enter the Mechat Lab. Talk to the Research Director (he is
wearing the funny yellow "hat") and he will assemble these mysterious parts
into the Necklace of the Final Conflict and give it to you. The achievement
will unlock and you will have an excellent necklace to equip!

Also, if you happen to have the other three mysterious parts at this time
you will also get the Bangle of the Ultimate Weapon and that achievement
will unlock as well.

Obtain the rare item, the "Dragon Bangle" - 10 points

These two achievements go hand in hand, as one you unlock the first you
would have to be silly not to unlock the second!

The dragon items that you need to find to unlock the associated achievement
are the fangs that you will receive when you defeat each of the five dragons
in the game. One of these dragons can be defeated on disc two, but the other
four will not be accessible until disc three. Each fang will be in a
treasure chest that appears when you defeat each dragon.
Here is a list of the dragon items and how to find and basic
strategies for defeating the associated dragons:

レッサ―ドラゴンの牙 (Leather Dragon Fang(355)) - Underground River
- The Leather Dragon(252) must be defeated in order to obtain this fang.
This can be done once you reach the Underground River. The dragon will
appear in the area with the waterfall that is protected by a blue
barrier that looks like a door. You will find many Keroron(150) and
Hyper Keroron(151) parties in this area. You must defeat them all, and
then when you try to leave this area the Leather Dragon will appear.

Fighting this dragon is quite easy, but should definitely try to steal
the Lei(290) from it before you defeat it. The "Steal - Reset - Reload"
technique mentioned earlier is the only way to ensure that you get
the Lei, and it can be very annoying to use here because you need to
defeat the various Keroron and Hyper Keroron parties before the dragon
will appear. Of course if you have BariBarrier then the Keroron and
Hyper Keroron parties will not be as much of a problem!

Regardless, once you are ready to defeat this dragon just attack it
like any other boss you have fought up to this point. This dragon is
very weak, and will go down in no time as long as you are careful. Once
the Leather Dragon is no more then claim the Leather Dragon Fang from
the chest that appears.

The remaining four dragons will not appear until you visit Kelaso Village
and talk to Bauhm in the Underground area. He will usually be standing on
the small balcony near the warp monument.
(It is also rumored that you must defeat the Leather Dragon before the
others appear as well, so taken care of it first just to be safe.)

ファントムドラゴンの牙 (Phantom Dragon Fang(356)) - Great Desert
- The Phantom Dragon(255) will appear at the South-most point in the
Great Desert. It will appear as a monster party, so you can try for
a Fast Attack or other engagement bonus.

Much like with the Leather Dragon this dragon also has an item you
will want to steal. The only difference is that the Phantom Dragon
holds a unique item that you MUST steal before defeating it if you
wish to unlock the Item Logbook achievement. This item is Nene's
Earring(275). Although the "Steal - Reset - Reload" technique must be
used to make sure that you steal this item it will not be quite so
bad as you save as close to this dragon as you want since it appears
in a field area.

(FINAL WARNING: If you chose to defeat the Phantom Dragon without
stealing Nene's Earring then you will not be able to unlock the
Complete the Item Logbook achievement during this play through. This
rule still applies even if you are using New Plus and you have never
stolen Nene's Earring in a previous play through.)

To prepare for the fight you will want to make sure that all your
party members equip the ぬすむ(Steal) skill. This is because the
Phantom Dragon is healed by all physical strikes, so ぶんどる(Swipe)
would be a counter-productive way to steal. Since you will have to
use magic, make sure that everyone can also use some kind of attack
magic. The まほうけん(Magic Sword) skill is also fine. Finally, equip
all the Wind Bellybutton Rings(313) that you have in your possession
to different party members. Only two of these items exist in the
game, and the party members that equip them will pretty much be
healed by the Phantom Dragon throughout the fight.

During the fight just treat the dragon as a boss and attack only with
magic or Magic Sword attacks. Do NOT use your Real attacks under any
circumstances, as they will just massively heal the Phantom Dragon. I
didn't feel that this fight was very hard, but it seemed like it went
on forever. Once the battle is over do not forget to collect the
Phantom Dragon Fang from the chest that appears.

スパークドラゴンの牙 (Spark Dragon Fang(357)) - Guru Mountains
- The Spark Dragon(253) appears inside the Gulu Mountains. It will
appear when you try to enter the small room that is (or was)
protected by a red barrier.

Happily this dragon does not have any items worth stealing, so you
can just defeat it once you encounter it. But to prepare you should
first equip all the Wind Bellybutton Rings(313) and
Earth Bellybutton Rings(314) that you have in your possession. Only
two of each of these items exist in the game. If you choose to give
two party members one of each of these rings a piece then they will be
healed by any non physical attack that this dragon can throw at you.
Or you can choose to split the rings up across four party members so
that almost everyone is safe from a few attacks. I also recommend
Ballet Shoes(300) or Ribbons(291) to as many party members as you
have the items for to avoid any unfortunate status aliments.

As you attack this dragon just treat it like a boss and you will be
fine. The fight should not be that long, and if you have the proper
bellybutton rings equipped you cannot be defeated! Once the Spark
Dragon goes down you can collect the Spark Dragon Fang from the
chest that appears. Also, if this is your first visit to the area
since obtaining the Red Device be sure to open the other treasure
chests.

ブリザードドラゴンの牙 (Blizzard Dragon Fang(358))
- Vicinity of Kelaso Village
- The Blizzard Dragon(256) might end up being the first dragon you run
into, which is unfortunate, as I find it to be the most difficult.
This dragon will appear on a hill just West of Kelaso village. It will
appear as a monster party, so you can try for a Fast Attack.

This dragon has an item that you should want to steal, the
Ribbon(291). It is optional, but I highly recommend that you use the
"Steal - Reset - Reload" technique to steal the Ribbon from this
dragon before you defeat it. Happily you can save anywhere near the
dragon, so it should not be so bad.

To prepare for this fight you should have all the Water Bellybutton
Rings(312) in your possession equipped, as these will absorb most of
the Blizzard Dragon's attacks. Once again Ballet Shoes(300) or
Ribbons(291) should be on everyone if you have enough. This dragon
has a very annoying attack that freezes characters, and the
Ballet Shoes and Ribbons will protect you from this. Having the
リンカネーション (Reincarnation) skill equipped to all characters is
another plus.

Once you are ready to defeat this dragon just treat it as difficult
boss fight. If one of your characters has both a status protecting
item and the Water Bellybutton Ring then the fight will be long, but
it will be nearly impossible for you to lose. The biggest dangers
during this fight are the dragon's physical attacks, its ability to
freeze characters, and the fact it will cast reflect on itself.
This is why the Water Bellybutton Ring and status protectors are
so important! Once this vile beast is no more claim the Blizzard
Dragon Fang from the chest that appears with pride!

アメジストドラゴンの牙 (Amethyst Dragon Fang(359)) - Coastal Road
- The Spark Dragon(257) appears as a monster party in front of the
rocks that block the path on the ocean side of the Coastal Road.
As it is a monster party you can try for a Fast Attack.

In my opinion this dragon does not have any items worth stealing,
so you can just defeat it once you encounter it.

Once again you should equip a bellybutton ring before this fight. This
time you will want to equip all the Wind Bellybutton Rings(313) you
have on different party members. Only two of these items exist in the
game, and any party member that goes into the fight with this item
equipped with be healed by the dragon. Otherwise, Ballet Shoes(300)
or Ribbons(291) are always welcome to avoid status issues.

When you begin the fight treat this dragon with care if you do not
have any Wind Bellybutton Rings. Make sure to heal often and use
Real attacks as they become available. And if you have the Wind
Bellybutton Rings things will be even easier, but you should not
get careless and let other party members die. Once this dragon has
been defeated then be sure to open the treasure chest that appears
to obtain the Amethyst Dragon Fang.

The "Obtain all dragon items" achievement will then unlock once you collect
the fifth dragon fang, regardless of which one it is.

With the five dragon fangs in hand you should now warp to Kelaso Village and
talk with the village elder, Bauhm. He will be on the small balcony just
left of the warp monument. When you talk to him he will take all the dragon
fangs and give you the Dragon Bangle(188). The associated achievement will
unlock and you will now have the best bangle in the game in my opinion.


SECRET Install all Mechat upgrade parts - 10 points

In order to unlock this achievement you must first locate all nine of the
Mechat enhancement items. They can be found in the following areas, but
most will require you to already have the Black Device(371):

ロックアップパーツＡ (Lock Up Parts A(372)) - Aurora Ruins
- The Aurora Ruins can only be reached by Mechat. Inside the ruins
you will only find a few rooms and a boss, the Stonezaurous(262).
Defeat this monster and you will receive these parts.

ロックアップパーツＢ (Lock Up Parts B(373)) - Exile Forest Caverns
- These parts are in the treasure chest protected by a black barrier in
Exile Forest Caverns. This is the same area where you rescued
Gulugulu.

ミサイルアップパーツＡ (Missile Up Parts A(374)) - Mecha Base - 4F
- These parts are in a treasure chest in the Mecha Base - 4F. They are
in the room with the elevator that goes to the top floor.

ミサイルアップパーツＢ (Missile Up Parts B(375)) - Lal Mountains Camp
- These parts are in the treasure chest protected by a black barrier in
the Lal Mountains Sheep Camp.

コーティングパーツＡ (Coating Parts A(376)) - Mecha Base High - 4F
- These parts are in a treasure chest in Mecha Base High - 4F. They
are in the room with the elevator that goes to the top floor.

コーティングパーツＢ (Coating Parts B(377)) - Kelaso Village - Underground
- These parts are in one of the treasure chests behind the black wall
barrier in Kelaso Village - Underground.

レーザーバリアパーツ (Laser Barrier Parts(378)) - Sea Cube - Deepest Area
- The chest containing these parts will appear when you defeat the
Leviathan(268) in the Deepest Area of the Sea Cube. The
Black Device(371) is also obtained at this time, so you should try
for these parts first.

ヒートクーラーパーツ (Heat Cooler Parts(379)) - Eastern Deserted Island
- From the air the chest containing these parts will appear to be
unguarded. However, once you land you will see that the boss grade
monster, Ghost Eat(272) is protecting it. Defeat Ghost Eat to be able
to access this chest.

オフェンシブパーツ (Offensive Parts(380)) - Ancient Ruins Forest
- The chest containing this parts will appear when you defeat the
Land Shark(278) in the Ancient Ruins Forest.

Once you have all these parts fly to the Mechat Dock. This is due West of
the Lal Mountains Camp. Once inside the Mechat Dock select メカット強化,
and then highlight 強化する for all of the parts. Finally press A, and then
press A again to confirm. The text will turn purple. I believe the
achievement will unlock at this time, but it might not unlock until you
exit this menu and learn about what the new parts have done. At any rate,
the achievement will definitely unlock before you leave the Mechat Dock, but
only if you were sure to install all nine parts.

ACTIVE RANKING - means you're there moving the controller looking for enemies.
Quicker than passive but requires you to be in control. MP Regen will prolong
bouts of levelling.

PASSIVE RANKING - this is possible! First you need to find a 'safe zone' where
either only enemies of one type spawn or all types of enemies that spawn are
defeated by your Bari-Barrier. With this location found, you can effectively
rank up without even being near your 360!

You stand in a spot, whilst giving off scent, cast Bari-Barrier. The enemies
will spawn, detect you, attack and be defeated by your Bari-Barrier. You get
the SP. Enemies respawn and the cycle goes on.

Things to note:
1. Make sure your categories are above rank 50 to prevent the 'New Skill' menu
appearing.
2. Fill your MP bar as much as possible.
3. Give off scent as usual.
4. Equip SP doubling accessories if you have any. +6 is nice, really.
5. Do not have any skills that scare off enemies.
6. Unequip counter-attack skill.
7. Disable the screensaver in the 360 Dashboard!
8. Save regularly.

At worst, you will run out of MP, your barrier will break and a battle will
commence. If you're not taking the first turn, it should still be almost
impossible for you to be killed before you get a turn. When you do, the game
effectively pauses whilst it waits for you to pick an action. Just don't equip
the counter-attack skill. Just don't forget to save every once in a while.
360s are known to crash, overheat and alot worse!
