Yup. Only tried trd so far in tioman and I enjoy their service. Actually is the keropok lekor prepared after the dives. Haha.

Which other dive centers in Tioman have you tried? biggrin.gif

Looks like the current schedule has 2 ferries a day, 6AM and 12PM nod.gif

6am one looks good. The last few months timing was like 11am. So arriving Tioman also like most of the day gone edi. Next month's mersing schedule like dunno what though. Hahah.

Anyway, was told if driving, go to tg gemok better since mersing is always packed as the bus stop is there.

Er just trd. Coz my instructor is good friend to Rino. But so far im really satisfied with their service thats why quite reluctant to try some other dc.

You have any other suggestions?

Yes keropok lekor or pisang goreng with teh tarik prepared after every dives. Haha. Their prices are slightly expensive but then I appreciate this small little gestures and of course how the crews help bringing your tanks and bcd up to the boat and down from the boat.

I'm lazy and I love those keropok lekor. Hahaha.

Cos I heard some bad things about them like how their boatman fishes while waiting for divers when its a marine park..
How they feed this puffer fish sea urchins at their shore dives location till this puffer fish would get super close to divers expecting food ---> I met this puffer fish. scary shit icon_question.gif

But I've never dive with them so I don't know 1st hand.

Hmm, i can recall once when i was diving at the Marine park, the boatman went underwater and started collecting coins from the seabed.

So far, i have not witness any thing like what you have mentioned though, its been great experience for me, touch wood.

I did heard about how their boatman tends to be rude sometimes, but i have not personally encountered this so far.

I guess the reason why i keep diving with TRD is because i am still hopeful to find the fin i lost during the night dive last time. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

If Tioman I dive with U-Dive at Paya.

QUOTE(EvanSoon @ Aug 17 2015, 05:23 PM)
Kampung tekek also.
Yea the downside I would say is the ferry, the only reason I don't like Tioman.
*
The ferry ticketing system there is always so confusing...and the aircond is also SUPER cold.

New ferry is quite alright already. Not cold at all lol. Sometimes if you lucky then sit new ferry tongue.gif

I hope bluewater is doing something with their ticketing system la. Usually we buy from one of our contacts, so far no problem. Otherwise also I get Abect to book it for me. Then again, I generally avoid peak seasons.

Lost one side of my Mares power fin. Yellow colour. Please let me know if anyone finds it T_T.

Ya the entire system run by Bluewater sucks big time. And the booking of tickets...pfft.... I actually booked my ticket from a tour office in SG and being charged sgd because tickets sold out at the bluewater office.

And as if the 2 hr journey is not tiring enough, once a singaporean couples missed their stop and the ferry has to turn back and drop them back to their stops. And because they turn back, some other people re enter the ferry assuming that the ferry is going back to Mainland.

Fuhhh.... The mixed up took another hour for me to reach tioman. But the dives I had so far were good and somehow compensated those rough journeys.

Thank God.

Good morning ...
In some dive centers I went, they actually have dive knife and SMB well stored up in their BCD. Like the one i went in Pattaya, I'm surprise to see that dive knife n SMB is well prepared in the BCD pocket.

Tanjong Gemok, not bad la... And it is very cold at night! Breakfast not much variety compare to Mersing.

Haha. My worse experience with the ferry was when it was 1. late, 2. stuck at tekek for a super long time 3. couldn't dock at the mersing jetty cause low tide cause late 4. had to take speed boat to jetty, 5. damn hungry cause way past lunch time already. The scheduled time was like 9am ferry back to Mersing. Wanted to extend our stay in Tioman already then. Hahah.

But Tioman is definitely worth the hassle. tongue.gif
