Hi all,

Any newbie dive that I can join this september?. Need to brush up my skill as I just finished my OWC a month back. And is there any FB/Meetup group that regularly organize fun dive?

Cheers
*
Welcome! We do have meet up sessions on and off which we will announce on forum. Only recently we had one in Aman Suria and met quite a few divers new to the group.

Where did you do your OWC recently? laugh.gif

I think my videos are generally more stable with the tray... But there are still some shaky ones so i dont know if i'm just fooling myself over the $ spent laugh.gif

Tripod is kinda situational. Can use for bottom dwellers. Other than that it is a nuisance.

Macro lens and video is really hard. Need something to anchor the camera against. Waifu was helping with the lights, i cant see how i can do it myself as i dont have light arms.
*
Yea, the "follow" was quite stable.

Tripod I think good if you are gonna camp there waiting for the fish/critter to do something.

Yea can see the light on the nudibranch moving haha. Time to invest in the arms maybe?

Check ebay also around RM1k with current conversion rate excluding shipping. I'm sure you got your ways to find cheaper deals but it's around that price la for a new unit.

Wow! RM1.4 I rather wait D4i Novo Free Transmitter Promotions. Can get extra dive comp and present someone. ^^
*
Yupyup. Last year when they had the free transmitter promo, a lot of people were buying and reselling the dive comp/transmitter. Cause some don't like to use the transmitter also. Hence, can get slightly cheaper than RM800 for new unit.

If you are not in a hurry, then wait for promo.

So far i am interested in technical and rescue course...

Since need to pay, might as well take a course  tongue.gif
*
You need to be an AOW to do rescue. Also you need a minimum number of dives to be able to take up rescue course.

As for technical dives, you will also need some experience before you can go into it. I'm not sure about the requirements but most people I know who goes into technical are quite experienced divers. After you do your AOW and gain some experience, take up your rescue and technical. smile.gif

Where did you take your NAUI OW cert? laugh.gif
What made you wanna go into technical diving?

QUOTE(pm_me_nasilemak @ Jul 21 2015, 04:14 PM)
The room i got was quad sharing, 3d2n rm600 for the room + 5 fun dives (1 shore+4 boat dives).

The island is generally clean, less crowded, not many ang moh on this beach

food wise there are the usual malay/chinese/seafood restaurants, not much nightlife unlike salang

would recommend if you are there for diving and relaxing, it's the 2nd jetty from mersing, that means short ferry ride biggrin.gif
*
That price is pretty good. With or without equipment rental? Rooms got AC ah? tongue.gif
Raya a lot of ppl or not?

Guys, I am a new diver, where is the place to go to seek for new regulators and dive accessories?

Can a new diver like me use MK25/A700? Will that be too overkilled?
*
Check the first page for a list of dive shops in klang valley. Drop by any and have a chat with their staffs.

Mk25/a700 is good. If budget is not a constrain, go for it. thumbup.gif

Haha why I got the impression that you are like diving every month?

Sad to say, my next dive trip is still the 3/9 Sipadan, didn't manage to squeeze out any weekend and go perhentian as planned. Is the oct one opening for new member to join?

Btw, mind to share which dc are you using for the Brunei trip?  Thx
*
You haven't met ukiya yet. He travels like everyday lol.

Yup. You can still join us for the October perhentian one. But note that accommodation is on your own, or either at Bakawan divers' dorm which is very basic ya. Just let me know if you can make it cause I'm collecting a deposit to secure the dive rates.
