From my understanding as long as the card is link to the islamic bank account then it ok. For example my maybank2card is link to my maybank islamic saving account

Linked? Did you mean it can be paid with your Islamic bank account? Then, all cards from all banks can be paid with that savings account.

1) Charge all your general expenses to any of your AEON cards.
2) Pay your AEON card via PosOnline, it has AEON payment but comes with 2% service charge. Use cards which give online cash back like PBB VS, UOB VOX and CIMB CR.
3) Get your cash back. Usually it is 5%-2% = 3%, so you still earn 3%. biggrin.gif

This applies to AEON Big credit card as well?

Perhaps it's better for me to post my requirement here so that others could help to suggest. I did a lot of searching and ran out of ideas.

1. Annual Income: > 36k but < 70k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Waived for first year or free for life

3. Existing credit cards if any: CIMB Cash Rebate, Maybank 2 card

4. Card required for:

(a) Petrol for work (Paid in counter cause the petrol station no card machine outside): 1k to 1.5k
(b) Petrol myself + parents: 200
(c ) Groceries: 200
(d) Utilities: 500
(e) Online shopping: 100-200
(f) Dining: 200-300
(g) Retail, shopping and others: 500

- Just applied for Citibank Cash Rebate for petrol and groceries for item (b). Still considering if there's a better card hmm.gif Was thinking Ikhwan but it's only for Friday and Saturday. I need to cover Sunday as well as my parents like to do groceries on Sunday.
- My next move is to get Public Bank Petron card for item (a) as it can rebate 5% up to max RM50 and can get the rebate eventhough it's paid through the counter and not the card machine in petrol station.
- Planning to apply for UOB Vox for item (d) and (e)
- No plan for item (f) and (g). Could get HL Mach for item (f) but not sure how good is the coverage.

Ikhwan is free for life. A work around for shopping on Sundays-Thursdays is to purchase grocery vouchers on Friday or Saturdays.

I'm doing that for my parents. Usually would buy vouchers for the month. Monthly allowance in vouchers... whistling.gif
Only challenge is shopping at multiple stores.

Maybe once a while buy them vouchers, I wanted to give them a supplementary card for Ikhwan but they said the hassle of spending on Fridays and Saturdays.

Your payments are also delayed for almost 2 months. Wait for AEON statement to pay, then wait for CIMB statement to pay.

UOB VOX may not be available anymore for new applicants. Shared by two forummers so far in UOB thread. Hope existing users will not be affected... sweat.gif

Enjoy while it is there. Probably we will need to stop introducing it to other forummers because it may not be available anymore...

Um... my previous post got deleted cause wrong section i reckon... oh well..

I need help to indentify the best value card for points/cashback

I'm going to swipe around 80~90k in about 1 month's time,

thats just enough time for me to apply a new card..... should be able to qualify for almost any "normal cards" as usually the income requirement only goes up to 250k... pls no Amex Centurion la sweat.gif

I'm aiming for the best return in bucks... be it in points or Cash Back (preffered).

It will be a one use card... i will probably cancel it afterwards.

Currently I have CIMB WOrld, PBB Sig, HLB Wise, AMB Infinite, MBB Sig, MBB Amex

Thanks for help! thumbsup.gif

I can think of HLB Essential and HLB Fortune.

HLB Essential: https://www.hlb.com.my/main/personal/cards/essential-card
0.6% cash back on first RM5,000 spend (tier 1)
1% unlimited cash back on subsequent spend (tier 2)
Enjoy automatic annual fee waiver with a minimum of 12 retail transactions or RM8,000 retail spend a year.

HLB Fortune: https://www.hlb.com.my/main/personal/cards/fortune-card
1% Real Cash Earnings on your purchases*

Whether it's shopping, dining, petrol or anything else, you will earn 1% cash for every Ringgit spent. E.g. RM100 x 1% = RM1. Spend more, earn more.

Real cash earning is awarded to the cardholder based on the total posted Ringgit amount of retail purchases (local and international) charged to the card, including supplementary credit card(s). In the event posted transaction falls on statement date, the transaction will be calculated for real cash earnings in the following month.

*Real Cash Earnings will only be credited upon meeting the minimum threshold of RM20 and capped at a maximum of RM50 calculated on a monthly basis.

The interesting part about this card is this:

For more information, you can refer to the link.
Enjoy automatic annual fee waiver with just a minimum of 12 retail transactions or RM8,000 retail spend a year.

But you will need to keep Fortune card for a year to get the bonus as it is calculated on annual basis. smile.gif

Good feedback bro!! notworthy.gif

Looking at this Fortune seems to be fit my requirements better...

But I have to hit the 108k within the year.. which is 90k on a swipe + say 20k on my insurance.. 2 swipe and I hit the 108k. Which gives me RM50+RM50+RM1800 = RM1900 Total CB (after a year...) (nett CB 1.76%)

The Essential will nett me : RM900 + RM120 (only 0.6% CB for insurance) = RM1020 immediately (nett CB 0.95%)

Now... wonder if the FOrtune will allow me to convert to installment at 0% interest.. and if so will it register as monthly purchase so to repeatedly get the RM50 cap per month... hmm.gif

I'm not bro la. You gotta check if insurance is allowed and consider installment as purchase.
