QUOTE(CPURanger @ Jun 23 2016, 09:38 AM) Yes, 27" 1440p is expensive over here but Malaysia pricing isn't much difference compare the US. Let's compare, Acer XB271HU it costs RM3199 with free headset over here. Amazon listed around USD780 (RM3134), no free headset. I suppose this is still the early days for 2K/4K displays. I believe it will drop in the next few years. In fact GTX 1080 pricing, have a bigger difference over here. I was pointing more towards the fact that our currency devalued so quickly(from mid to end of last year) and it became quite expensive because of that.I bought XB271HU, I must say I enjoy every minute of it. Simply awesome even with old GPU ! Never implied that the pricing in US became more expensive as well. |

Even if you upgraded to the HD 7970 (which is the R9 280X) also you'll see some performance boost already, and that also the R9 280X is around the GTX 960 only. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jun 23 2016, 09:14 AM) SLI mid range can be nice but only IF the game scales very well with it. SLI scaling always sucks with CPU limited games (i.e Fallout or Bethesda games in general, RTS games).Generally it's not, because you get a mix of good ones, not so good ones and really bad ones. As I always tell people - leave the SLI stuff only to the top range, not necessarily highest range but it has to be something that after SLI-ing be able to provide greater performance than a single highest end available. Hopefully DX12's Explicit Multi-GPU mode can catch on: http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/review-as...i-gpu-mode.html This post has been edited by Zakov: Jun 23 2016, 10:50 AM |

I guess Nvidia lied?
![]() They recommended the standard non-HB LED hard bridge for 4K. |

HB SLI bridge uses both of the fingers on the GPU instead of just one on the standard SLI bridges. Supposedly eases bottlenecking at higher bandwidth requirement needed for resolution of "higher than 4K 60Hz". Question is, what monitor supports higher resolution than 4K60 now? The only category this HB SLI bridge is useful are for people running triple monitor (or more ) Surround at 144Hz and 1440p and higher. Not particularly useful to me, since Surround setups involves visible bezels which are ugly to me, or stretched edges on left and right surround monitors.

Sorry i really cant answer on the warranty part. I only know that its a 3 year warranty, but it should be fine if you can pay for the shipment to China/ Taiwan if you need to claim warrantyPlenty of GTX 1070/1080 in taobao it seems, looks tempting. |
