My Gigabyte GTX 1070 arrived yesterday night. Super huge boost coming from a HD 6950. Now considering whether to upgrade to a 144HZ Gsync monitor

I was pointing more towards the fact that our currency devalued so quickly(from mid to end of last year) and it became quite expensive because of that.

Never implied that the pricing in US became more expensive as well.

HD 6950 is so ancient. Even if you upgraded to the HD 7970 (which is the R9 280X) also you'll see some performance boost already, and that also the R9 280X is around the GTX 960 only.

True, it is our currency gone down.

SLI scaling always sucks with CPU limited games (i.e Fallout or Bethesda games in general, RTS games).

Hopefully DX12's Explicit Multi-GPU mode can catch on:

They recommended the standard non-HB LED hard bridge for 4K.

What makes those bridges so special?

HB SLI bridge uses both of the fingers on the GPU instead of just one on the standard SLI bridges. Supposedly eases bottlenecking at higher bandwidth requirement needed for resolution of "higher than 4K 60Hz". Question is, what monitor supports higher resolution than 4K60 now? The only category this HB SLI bridge is useful are for people running triple monitor (or more ) Surround at 144Hz and 1440p and higher. Not particularly useful to me, since Surround setups involves visible bezels which are ugly to me, or stretched edges on left and right surround monitors.

Yup the G1. Got it on taobao (I work in shanghai) . Plenty of stock on taobao for gigabyte. Not so much for other companies

Yeah I probably will wait until a new model comes out. Thinking of sticking to 1080P. If I go 1440p I have to update my graphic card more often

Bro, some questions. If I buy it from taobao, how's Gigabyte warranty like ? Possible send it to their HQ in Taiwan/China for warranty ?

Plenty of GTX 1070/1080 in taobao it seems, looks tempting.

Sorry i really cant answer on the warranty part. I only know that its a 3 year warranty, but it should be fine if you can pay for the shipment to China/ Taiwan if you need to claim warranty

3398 RMB, which is about RM 2070. But most sellers are selling are MSRP of 3499 RMB which is about RM 2140
