just visited this mall. nice boutique mall and a big improvement from previous the mall. i think it looks "more atas" now, but very quiet, not much crowd.

opposite umno building just sayin... the hotel is quite old and seriously need refurb. many trainee staff inside hotel esp the kitchen area. so food is always good |

When the tenants were ordered to move to Putrajaya, there was less income going to the stores in the mall. The escalator in front of Uniqlo had been spoilt for MONTHS & they didn't even FIX it.. & yet they want to be "atas" mall! LOL!
Most of the shops at ground floor, like Bonia, Swarovski, Nerl Yard are empty most of the time, even Mango has not opened yet till now (guess they are scared of the quiet crowd at here). The worst part is the Asian Avenue section.. less to NO people at all and staff at there are sleeping. Putra should transform it into "Ghost Avenue".. I bliv tenants will starts to move out from Putra Mall soon.. Many of them are dying especially those Asian Avenue, Vanity Hall, Selera Street sections..Worse still, the management still DON'T WANT to repair the faulty escalators till now......

According to one of facebook users, AT LEAST 3-4 escalators are not working at Sunway Putra (as at 14 Oct 2015). Kudos to the management team in letting the escalators spoilt for ALMOST 5 MONTHS since its soft opening! I guess Putra is really wants to promote faulty escalators as the MAIN unique feature of Putra Mall since this mall is dead silent on weekdays even on weekends..

the aircond design is the weirdest i have seen ..
Also it's not going to be comfortable because they use low cfm per sqft . Overtime it will be sg wang with lots of fungus growing inside . But like someone stated above , malay version of sg wang . |

went there once for DC Cafe, the whole mall like like hantu mall, esp the TGV cinema, very less human. Parking place sucks, entrance also not well designed, hard to find entrance to parking, pusing here and there.

That means Sunway will have 2 FAILED Mall

i like this mall hehe jalan kaki sampai wooo at least got nandos, chicken rice shop, kenny rogers, seoul garden, cold storage.. n many more... convenient for me to buy groceries n have some take out.. well especially my gf can buy me dinner hahaha

  There is that Zamperla the big pirate ship (swings up and down) as well as Matterhorn spin-around ride. Roller coaster is in an odd place though, it's on the second level and a small one, unlike the giant in Times Square. |

Putra have underestimated the POWER of fashion anchor (AEON or Parkson) in pulling people to come to their mall. It seems like the admin of Sunway Putra Mall facebook page deleted whatever comments which are related to "Faulty Escalator" issue. A few weeks ago, a customer complaint on the page regarding to this issue & but NO REPLY from the admin (too bad I didnt print screen the comment), the comment was then "deleted" after few weeks
 Today, another customer verify this issue by saying that the admin also deleted her complaint as well: ""Same thing juz happened to me.i complained about the escalators always spoilt and mall not fully ready but parking rate being exorbitant and my comment was deleted...i think they dont know how to handle the truth "" What kind of management is this?? Cant they explain properly to the customers what's really happen to the faulty escalator issue instead of just ignoring the truth by deleting people comment?? |

Majority of tenants here suffers badly because of no crowd & they closed as early as 9pm even on weekends/public holidays..Sunway should retain Parkson & the mini indoor theme park & not to "eliminate" them.. |

Saw one shop closed down at Sunway Putra Mall recently which is TELENT (selling sports shoes).. after almost 6 months of operation (SPM opening date)

The eateries at lower ground are doing exceptionally well. Couldn't say the same for the ones at the higher floors.

How to attract people?
Last time got the bus station putra there, at least sedak abe sedak race can lepak at the mall. Now that station kolos. For komuter, people will probably turun bank negara and shop at pertama CONplex or sogo |

will be back again this weekend for a quick look. all in all, good to know that it is improving ever so slightly... Can see people walking around, the lower ground f&b places all quite full. I spent an afternoon in starbucks, pretty full. upper grounds still quite empty.. havn't watched movie at tgv yet. |

weekday lunch crowd seems pretty good.. the restaurants at the lowest floor and first few floors filling up... (didn't check the top floors so i don't know) as an owner of a condo nearby, of course i hope the spm does well, so my condo can appreciate |

I prefer going to Sunway Putrajaya than any other shopping malls. My daughters are loving their kids playground. Quite pricey but there's an option of buying a package. Choices of food are great. Decent shopping choices as well.

Sunway Putra Mall lifts Sunway REIT’s earnings
Maintain neutral with a lower target price of RM1.61 (from RM1.64): Sunway Real Estate Investment Trust’s (Sunway REIT) second quarter of financial year ended Dec 31, 2015 (2QFY16) core net profit came in within our and market expectations. Revenue growth came mainly from improved contributions from Sunway Putra Mall (+291% quarter-on-quarter [q-o-q]), which was more than enough to offset the drop in rentals from Sunway Tower (-58% q-o-q), as the office tower’s occupancy rate fell to 21% from 67% in FY15. The performance of most other property assets was decent with a less than 4% q-o-q growth, while its hotel segment saw a seasonal boost due to the year-end holiday period. A distribution per unit of 2.57 sen was declared. Sunway Putra Mall’s occupancy rate rose slightly to 84.9% (from 83.9% in end-September 2015), and its net property income finally turned to the black during the quarter. In order to stay competitive, Pyramid Tower East will undergo a 12-month refurbishment exercise that will cost RM100 million to RM120 million — with a gradual closure in 3QFY16 and full closure by 4QFY16. Aggressive marketing efforts have also been undertaken to accelerate the turnaround of Sunway Putra Hotel. Meanwhile, the management expects a lower rental reversion for new renewals, given the influx of new retail malls and challenging economic conditions. Overall, its near-term portfolio lease expiry profile is stable, as the next major renewal (51.5% of net lettable area) will take place only after FY18. We cut our FY16 to FY18 forecast earnings by about 2% per year in view of the temporary closure of Pyramid Tower East. Despite the current headwinds in both the office and hospitality segments, we think that the REIT’s retail assets should help mitigate lower contributions from both segments. I live near that mall. The most popular place before renovation was the cheap food court at highest floor lol. Now they change to so atas no one have the buying power to go there. I still want to try red lobster before they chap lap though, never have it before.

nevertheless, if u got sth always out of stock at your frequent visit mr.diy branch, u may drop by this sunway's mr.diy, probably can find the thing u want (as less crowd mah....) ~ juz don know which day it close down

easy to park , less crowd.... i expect the crowd would increase abit only even after cinema open soon.. so still would be great to go shopping if you don't like crowded mall like ioi city mall, klcc, pavilion and etc |

The mall will only be full if got some event at pwtc. I think its location is less desirable. Theres more malls with much better accessibility in kv. Unless this mall can come up with something rare or different compared to other malls in kv, I think it will die soon.

Even those people who go to KWSP also do not want to drop by the mall because there is simply nothing to do. The only crowd will be during exhibitions held in their conventional hall but that is also very seldom now compared to when it was newly opened. Just too wasted because it is very nicely renovated inside the mall, shining tiles and marble sinks in the toilets. |
