Anyone been to TGV Cinemas at putra mall? How's the crowd? Any impact towards the mall's traffic flow since this mall is quiet normally?

The escalator in front of Uniqlo had been spoilt for MONTHS & they didn't even FIX it.. & yet they want to be "atas" mall! LOL!

Most of the shops at ground floor, like Bonia, Swarovski, Nerl Yard are empty most of the time, even Mango has not opened yet till now (guess they are scared of the quiet crowd at here).

The worst part is the Asian Avenue section.. less to NO people at all and staff at there are sleeping. Putra should transform it into "Ghost Avenue"..

I bliv tenants will starts to move out from Putra Mall soon.. Many of them are dying especially those Asian Avenue, Vanity Hall, Selera Street sections..Worse still, the management still DON'T WANT to repair the faulty escalators till now......

According to one of facebook users, AT LEAST 3-4 escalators are not working at Sunway Putra (as at 14 Oct 2015). Kudos to the management team in letting the escalators spoilt for ALMOST 5 MONTHS since its soft opening! I guess Putra is really wants to promote faulty escalators as the MAIN unique feature of Putra Mall since this mall is dead silent on weekdays even on weekends..

No idea Sunway wants to "JIMAT" on repairing escalator, & yet wants to be a upscale mall..The lifts at there also SO SLOW!

But Quill City Mall business is way better than Sunway Putra Mall. Their parking for P1 is always full on weekends & parking for P2 is almost full. Most people come here for AEON, Hamleys, NEXT & H&M which are doing well. Even GSC Quill attracts more people than it used to be when its first opened.

In contrast, Sunway Putra's weekend crowd is very BAD. Many of the tenants here suffer losses (dying) & they closed as early as 9PM even on public holidays..
Who wants to come to a mall with faulty escalators, slow lifts and NO anchor tenants with lots of ghost sections?

That means Sunway will have 2 FAILED Mall

Year 2015: Sunway Putra Mall (confirm will DIE just a matter of time as many tenants are suffering from very BAD business)
Year 2016: Sunway Velocity (struggling to get tenants with just 50% occupancy as Mytown enjoys better occupancy rate with interesting tenants)

If you wanna go, be prepared for:

1) Faulty escalatorss (AT LEAST 3-4 escalators), & it already spoiled for 5 MONTHS!!!
2) Lots of GHOST sections especially Asian Avenue a.k.a GHOST AVENUE as that place is extremely QUIET!
3) NO Anchor tenants for fashion (which is weird for a mall)
4) Parking sucks..& expensive
5) Tenants closed early at 9PM cause NO business even on public holidays

This is a mall that make you wanna leave in less than 1 hour & wont come back again ever..IMO

Yeah.. I agree with you. Putra have underestimated the POWER of fashion anchor (AEON or Parkson) in pulling people to come to their mall. That's why the mall still suffers from bad performance even on weekends & public holidays.. The nearby Quill City Mall enjoys better traffic as more shoppers come for AEON which explains why the parking for P1 always FULL on weekends & public holidays & almost full for P2..

Worst still, they STILL DON'T repair the escalators for 5 months.. it seems like the management have NO CONCERN at all for senior citizens, disabled people or parents carrying a baby. Are they expecting shoppers to climb up every single floor (since the lifts at here are SLOW)??

It seems like the admin of Sunway Putra Mall facebook page deleted whatever comments which are related to "Faulty Escalator" issue. A few weeks ago, a customer complaint on the page regarding to this issue & but NO REPLY from the admin (too bad I didnt print screen the comment), the comment was then "deleted" after few weeks

Today, another customer verify this issue by saying that the admin also deleted her complaint as well: ""Same thing juz happened to me.i complained about the escalators always spoilt and mall not fully ready but parking rate being exorbitant and my comment was deleted...i think they dont know how to handle the truth ""

What kind of management is this?? Cant they explain properly to the customers what's really happen to the faulty escalator issue instead of just ignoring the truth by deleting people comment??

I'm well aware that the escalators for this mall are OLD. Can't Sunway replace all the old escalators into new escalators for the convenience of shoppers? Why they want to SAVE on this kind of issue?? How to be a high class mall if the escalators always faulty??

haha.. I mean high class for that area(chow kit), of course cant be on par with pavilion, gardens or suria klcc~

I agree with you. The old layout is much more better than the present layout.

This new sunway putra mall is extremely quiet even on weekends /public holidays.. no idea why they want to chase out PARKSON as their anchor tenant & bring in the 4 concepts (Ghost Hall, Ghost Street, Ghostplace, Ghost Avenue) which are totally a FAILED concept..

Another failed mall in the making? Majority of tenants here suffers badly because of no crowd & they closed as early as 9pm even on weekends/public holidays..

Sunway should retain Parkson & the mini indoor theme park & not to "eliminate" them..

"The way u handle customer complaint is appalling.u delete their comments bcoz u prioritize ur reputation more than ur customer satisfaction.the truth is ur escalators are faulty always and ur parking rate is too high for wat ur customers experience in ur not fully completed mall n have to put up with noise n dust.i cant believe how childish a mall management can get by being offended by genuine customer feedback."

This mall has lost its charm ever since the indoor amusement park & Parkson are gone.. This newly refurbished mall is just plain boring & dull & with that kind of lousy management, I really wonder how long this new mall gonna survive in the long term (can see the crowd are decreasing as the months passed by).. They didn't even bother to repair the escalators at all & have time to delete people comments on FB.

Saw one shop closed down at Sunway Putra Mall recently which is TELENT (selling sports shoes).. after almost 6 months of operation (SPM opening date)
