Who remembers this supermarket YAOHAN

This place was famous when I'm a kid... Playground and tempat Makan on top floor

yeah during my time, back in Penang also got a Yaohan. It was at Komtar and got connecting to Trader's Hotel (then still called Shangri-La Hotel)

I think kimisawa is the first jap shopping company in Malaysia. Than yaohan. Time past very fast. And all this become history. The latest become history is jusco.

Yup, there was one Chujitsu quite near to Ampang Point and there was once a Kerry near Cheras...

Hankyu jaya is where most of my CNY clothes came from. the young me from poorfag background only able to be there twice a year for shopping.

YEAHHH chujitsu was like my everyday shopping for groceries affair haha.. kerry's is like the supermart during my younger years

I remembered YAOHAN. My mom used to bring me to the shopping complex where YAOHAN is located. I dont remember if its a supermarket or what but you know until now when I pass this one building my mom will always called that place YAOHAN haha.

Is SOGO still around?

I use to live in Setiawangsa.. shifted like 12 years ago.. now is like a concrete jungle in setiawangsa

I remember there is one Suzy's Corner in Plaza Ampang which I had dinner almost every night after my parents working hours..

I was still a wee lil kid back then when chujitsu is still around ...

i don't really recall kerry's ... much , dunno why

however, i had the deepest memory of The Mall shopping center, water fountain that shot up couple of floors every hour or so, hahaha

My first job was in Yaohan before , during school hols where many ah bengs from ah bengland work for a month in Yaohan selling clothes underwears,and all (I bumped into my schoolmates in droves).

Of coz since I dont look ahbeng enuff, I took a job selling IT stuff and the boss ask me to jaga his wife stall (forgot selling what already) next to it . Now only I found out the rm350 per month aint just worth it (after deducting bus fare + lunch), but its a good learning experience. Got bored at least can use MS-PAINT draw some anime characters while passer-bys stop and watch.

yea yea!!! when last time i went to the mall.. i love the amusement park centre.. they have a pirate ship ride.. and also a shooting game where when u shoot.. there are special effects i.e a doll that squirts water.. and etc.

not original anymore ... it use to be my childhood playground

Yesssssssssssssss .... the amusement park is called Starlight Express if I remember correctly ... OMG, I spent HOURS there !!!

My family just plopped me there and went on doing their own biz, and I go enjoice myself .... ahhhh .... the memories !!!

eh ... isn't that at some other place ? umm the weird shopping place that is now armada palace near PJ along the Federal Highway ...

If i not mistaken, KIMISAWA was located at damansara jaya..........correct me if i wrong.....

there are a handful of shops still operating there, but during those days.. shops in that building were already scarce.. imagine now.. haha

YAOHAN was very popular during 90', my family frequent OUG Yaohan (now Parkson already), I always ask my dad bring me go to the arcade at yaohan.

i rmb YAOHAN top floor arcade centre .....u can ride a big ship ....fukken nice yo ...i think thats the 1 st and only shopping mall having such ride ...next is leisure mall roller coaster....then oni comes to Times Square

I remembered the YAOHAN in Tropical Inn JB

Dulu Yaohan and Sungei Wang Plaza is the most famous shopping complex in KL.

But my father always bring us to Ampang Park for shopping. Maybe because it's easier to park there.

eh, not sure when it's first started ler, but back when i was in korrej, one of my coursemate works there ... so i would say it has been around

Last time OUG had two malls side by side, one was yaohan and another one called what? Q Mart or something.

Yup! Hong Kong Supermarket in Pearl Point. It was the most gemilang time of Pearl Point. After Hong Kong Supermarket chaplap, it then changed to The Store, business was bad, then Maxvalu (Jusco) tookover, business lagi worst, then now changed to ECONSAVE. Business ok la but not as good as the Hong Kong Supermarket during 90' and early 00'.
