IF I want the person leave a record at bank,I write his/her name BUT NOT WRITE CASH.

"A/C Payee Only" and Cash Cheques

You've probably heard these 2 terms before. If you must issue a cash cheque (that is, without a name such that anyone may go to your bank branch and take money out), you have to

'cross' the part of the cheque, with either one or two straight perpendicular lines, that says

"A/C Payee Only" and sign again beside that part.

Be very careful, though, because once you do this, the cheque is effectively cash and anyone can take it to your bank branch and withdraw the money.

If your name on the cheque, only u can have the money not the bank staff or anyone.
and if u cheque got reject or kena tendang, it will not deduct the money in account.
so u can tell the issuer to keluarkan cheque baru.

Branch staff might have not done anything...
Cheques all sent out for processing...to somewhere without cctv.

they still can if the 'atau pembawa/or bearer' wordings are not crossed.

this maybank cheque has the 'atau pembawa/or bearer' wordings xxx-ed out.

this hsbc cheque hasn't:

this is what lucifah told us before.

so don't think just because the cheque has your name doesn't mean someone else cannot bank into their account...

yes, must cross the word if you ask someone else to deposit the cheque on your behalf.

if you yourself go to the cheque deposit machine, then probably ok not to cross those words out.

kalau kau x cross diorang kena proceed macam biasa (tunggu 1-2 hari) tapi kalau cross 30 minit settle.

kalau ko x croseed tetiba stok atau barang ko order tu PROBLEM ( aku consider ko dealer lah . penerima cheque tu supplier) ko boleh call bank suruh stop cheque tu dulu.

yes need to cash out from issuer bank
nombor account is optional i think, they are advising u if u want to be 100% safe
since on my case, i dun cross and only put receiver name, 2 signature one at signatory and another next to payee only

yup. nak cashkan cheque tu kena branch yang dia bukak.. kalau ko bukak kat Kedah...tapi penerima kat Selangor...... laugh.gif

kalau ko nak kasi cash. tulis nama penerima tu AAAA bin ABCDEF . pastu tandatangan apa semua la. no penerima kat belakang cheque tu BIAR TUAN PENERIMA tu isi. ko x payah susah susah.

cash cheque 100% ko kena pergi kaunter. kat situ on-the-spot mmg settle.
