 Sim Card No Service, Sim card being deactivated?

Hello, I was working overseas in Vietnam currently.
Today when i change back to my Hotlink sim card to do bank transaction, the sim card seems cannot work, it show "No service" all the time. But before this, the last time i change back my Malaysia sim card is 2 weeks ago, it is still working. Is it deactivated? What can I do? I still have balance inside, why is this happening?

Please activate back my number as it is very important & urgent for me.
My number is 012-6xxxx14
Sim card number I don't remember, didn't bring along to Vietnam.

I bought a new sim card yesterday at Bukit Jambul Penang and I immediately change to nano sim card. Until now the nano sim card still not activated after more than 24 hours. Please help.

Just now i went to maxis centre to create a nano sim card. Then, the person that incharge on this said that nano sim can be used after 15 minutes. Unfortunately, my line keep showing 'no service'.
Would you mind to check for me when my line can be activate?The Nano Sim number is 89600115024782232(1)64K A

Hi my phone acc shows service not available, please call 123 when i try to check the balance. I can still receive sms and call but cannot send sms or call others, not even 123. What exactly happened? My number is 017****912 please help.

The reactivation will take within 5 working days from today. No need for you to bring the sim card to Maxis ctr as we will activate the service from the same sim from our end.

Hi, i have the same issue also, which there's no service for my maxis sim card and i cant top up. It has been two months, im afraid that i have to purchase another number again if the problem remain unsolved for the third month. can you tell me how to solve it?

Hello, I have the same problem as well. I can't recalled when I last reload my account but I always make sure so that my number is still active eventhough I'm staying outside Malaysia at the moment.

Do you mind to check my status either it's still active or has been terminated?

The number provided is still active. Do try to restart your phone & swap the SIM card into another phone to monitor.

I have a problem when i enter the app 'Hotlink RED'...It appears a message when I entered,it says 'The service you have requested is currently unavailable. Please try again later.'

Everything was working fine.I have my sim card service and can use the 4G network.It was working when I bought the sim card but now its not...

How do i fix this???Help please.Thanks!

Your prepaid number has expired and reactivation on expired prepaid is no longer available.

You must purchase a new SIM pack with new prepaid number at Maxis Centre.

Does this issue only occurs in Hotlink Red App? Is the application version up-to-date in coherent with your device operating system version?

Hi sokai,

It is still valid however current status is deactivate with balance or also known as grace. It is advisable that you make a topup of RM30 to keep the number active for 30 days

We would advise you to perform topup via Maxis Pay or Online Banking with minimum topup and check on the network coverage again , after topup has done.

you msg me that re-activation is no longer available.

but i how come, some of the some of the user can reactive where by their lapse period is longer than mine.

is that any possible to use back the number? i dun mind for the credit balance. as i need the number for my oversea use.

Hi yzzmail,

We regret to inform that reactivation on expired prepaid is no longer available. You will need to purchase a new SIM pack with a new prepaid number.

Would like to confirm one thing about the expiry and data
if i buy a 30 days data package today, but my sim card is going to expiry tomorrow (then 50 days grace period), i am not planning to make any outgoing call, i still can use the data even it is in the grace period?

i tried a few days ago my internet pass is active but sim is in grace period, i cannot access internet...

Hi mlamlam,

Under grace status, you are not able to utilise the available internet passes. Hence a topup is needed to ensure that the prepaid status is active to utilise the internet pass and also SMS and calls.

My number 0164933806 was expired on 4th December 2017.

On 9th December 2017, I went to KLCC Maxis center to request activation. 2 staffs were giving me hope that it can get it back as I just have to transfer to postpaid for 1 month. He said it would take 7 processing days for reactivation and he will update me. I wait, wait and wait and there is no update. I checked with him again and he replied there is no returning back.

why is it like that??

The number is extremely important to me as i have been using the number for more than 10 years. It attached to a lot of registered account including bank. Please advise how to get it back.

Hello

My SIM card doesn't seem to have service although it registers the available networks. I inserted my SIM card into my phone recently after not using it for a couple of months and haven't been able to connect to the network. I am overseas and need service to complete some banking transactions. I would appreciate help to resolve this issue.

Hello!

I have a Hotlink Red Sim card (896001180354166702)
It says on the package that the sim is valid until 30.09.2019 so it should work.
However, I don't have a signal and I can't log on the App with my number.

Has the sim card maybe expired since I haven't used it for 2,5month?

Have you tried checking the APN in your phone, that it's corresponding to the SIM card you've put in?

Old post, but in case someone else has a similar question...

IIRC, the date printed on the SIM pack indicates the last day for the SIM card to be activated, not the validity of the number.

The grace period for Hotlink Red is 50 days (unless it's been changed since the last time I looked), so not having done anything to the number for 2.5 months... I'd think the number has been terminated.

I have received sms on 26th stating CRT DIY package will be deactivated in 5 days.
