For some unknown reason(s) even to myself, I didn't visit CH last year however it's highly likely that I'll turn up with my wife within the next few months.

I don't know that Secret Recipe cafe had 'tapowed' already but thanks for sharing the information since it certainly has save me one trip from going there.

Secret Recipe shouldn't be the only reason to visit Cameron Hihglands, rclxms.gif It's the end of the year now and the coolest part of the year. It will last till CNY. Just came back from a day trip last few days and it is getting cooler. A few stretches along the Tapah road is only passable one way due to erosion due to the continous rain. Overall still OK. icon_rolleyes.gif

hi, i will be going to cameron highlands this coming saturday with a toddler. i will be staying at strawberry park resorts (tanah rata). but after i look thru the map, most of the places to visit actually located near brinchang. my questions here are, how long does it take to travel (by car) from tanah rata to brinchang and the road condition (very windy)? or any other interesting places to visit at tanah rata area?

i am bringing 1 yr old toddler. hehehe

thank you very much!

Strawberry Park Resort is actually in between Tanah Rata and Brinchang. Tanah Rata to Brinchang can be reach within 10min but depend on traffic. I was there this August.

Love the weather there and is not as hot as what I experience in Penang or KL. You can walk in noon and you can feel the heat from the sun (not too much) and the same time the wind blowing thru is cold.

You mean Cameroon in west Central Africa, bordered by Nigeria to the west; Chad to the northeast; the Central African Republic to the east; and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south?

Just came back from there few days ago. Stayed at Country Lodge Resort. One night around RM 92 (including tax and service charge). Overall good experience and everything is within walking distance. thumbup.gif
If you guys want steamboat can try Wai Yat restaurant. RM 15 per person. Give you four plates of stuff to eat.

Total bill for 4 person comes to less than RM 70.
They even throw in free refill of vegetables if it's not enough. rclxms.gif

From Malacca. drive to the PLUS highway and once you reach KL head towards Ipoh and proceed to PLUS highway to Ipoh. Keep a lookout for Tapah exit (for old road) or Simpang Pulai exit for new road. Faster if you are using Tapah exit. Save you 90 minutes of driving to Brinchang or Tanah Rata, C.Highlands. Once you pay toll at Tapah exit, at the traffic lights turn left and then all the way up! icon_rolleyes.gif

hi thanks! im back from c.highlands yesterday nite! my hubby argued with me that should using sg. besi toll and passby cheras and all the way up just like going up to genting highlands while i was insisting using plus north south highway! lol.

stayed in strawberry park resort which was not really easy to locate if you missed out the signboard! as the resort is located out of the main road. but it was really a nice stay and i love the resort compared to those resorts that located near main road. my hubby loves cameron highlands as the air is so so much fresher than the town. will be back to cameron highland even though nothing much u can do there except for relaxing. rolleyes.gif

Hi, I also back from Cameron yesterday, stayed in Strawberry Park Resort for 2 nights.

The road driving up to Mount Brinchang is bad now. So, they are putting cement now. After they repair, driving up to Mount Brinchang will be easier. At the moment, there are 2km from the top that is very difficult to drive through (we park there, then walk 2km).
