Hi travelers. I just want to ask for some opinion/advice from the experts here. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The Story
I’m planning to stay at De La Fern after this coming raya (ad hoc planning due to request from my wub.gif ). Called them yesterday and the rate for Deluxe King are RM288/night(Sunday to Thursday) and RM304/night(Friday to Saturday) respectively. Last few months I checked, the rate was RM198/night because of opening promotion. Hahaha…regret that I didn’t go at that time tongue.gif

For me, money is not a big constraint but I truly wish I can go to all of the main attractions there such as tea plantations, farms, museum, flower nurseries, restaurants and night market within 3D2N trip. Currently, I’m still preparing the travel tentative with the maximum budget of RM1,200 (including foods, toll fees, petrol, shopping & emergency)

But my problem is the date of my trip… I’ll be back from ‘kampung’ (Sg.Petani -> KL) on 23rd Sept. I have 2 option here :-

1st option
Get back home (KL) first, rest for a few days and went back to CH…stay from 25/9 to 27/9 (Fri to Sun). If I plan like this, I’ll have better chances to accomplish my ‘mission objective’. The downside is higher cost, more people and I’ll be tired on the next working day (Monday).

2nd option
Go to CH directly from ‘kampung’ and stay from 23/9 to 25/9 (Wed to Fri). This option will be easier as this will be a one-way travel, lesser cost and time consumed, and less people/hassle as this period is not peak season IMO . But maybe I can’t go to some places such as the Brinchang Night Market and other places which only open on certain time.

Plz help dear travelers. Thank you…

Dun stay so hi-class-lah...Why not u try Heritage, Century Pine, Casa Dela rosa? I think should be ~ RM250-RM300.

If u dun mind u can lower your budget & stay at those Mat Salleh approved budget hotels such as Twin Peak, Cameron Inn, Gathers guest house & etc...Those <RM150/nite. & some <RM100

haha...ok sir stimix. fyi, this trip is for a special event. thats why i need a nice romantic hotel biggrin.gif

i call again de la fern asking for room's rate and i finally know why the rate suddenly increased. the deluxe king's room is fully booked. maybe when i call earlier, the room was almost fully booked.

slightly frustrated, then i call titiwangsa hotel. still got many room(2pax) available. nice and clean hotel from the other reviews in cameronhighland.com's forum. and reasonable rate too. room for two is rm168...with breakfast and seafood steamboat dinner (halal). booked already. option 2

haha...its not easy to plan an ad hoc vacation. hopefully it will be a nice vacation

I am here to have your comments/review on this apartment conditions/facilities/utilities/details......

Thanks n look forward for your favourable reply as I am leaving on this Saturday......

Thanks again!!!

Long-long time ago, I booked Kayangan Apt at Genting 3 rooms, and wth ~4 of us, atleast 5 of us hv to sleep on the floor padded wth all the sofa cushion available...the worst is not enuf blankets..coldddddd....

Good luck if 23....better bring xtra blankets & pillow + probably reserve the balcony too..

I stayed at Rosa Pasadena this time booked in Mar'09 using my left over time sharing point.....well abit regretted bcos room facing Shell station & brinchang main road..noisy! Lucky after 9pm traffic reduced & hv better sleep. However the room is clean & medium sized but bathroom is small.

There are more hotels in CH such as Parkland, Rainbow (Part of Rosa also), Kavy (Budget, Titiwangsa (pretty new), Star regency..Brinchang is convenient as it's near the largest pasar Malam (The only thing I like about Brinchang) Otherwise, for makan, I travel all the way to Tanah Rata...for Mayflower steamboat daily!! Food in Brinchang are expensive & suxx!

In Tanah Rata, there are lotsa budget hotels...such as Twin Peak, KRS, Julian Cameron Inn, Downtown & etc...price from RM60-RM150 depending on season.
