i've bought bass parts off ebay before.. but nvr a whole instrument. shipping from the US is way overpriced. about rm600 upwards for a bass guitar.

..unless u plan on spending like rm10k on an isntrument.. then the rm600 will seem like peanuts.

can anyone explain the logic behind 21/22 frets instead of 24 on all guitars ?

Actually, after the Wes Borland clinic, I'm dragging my ZW Les Paul there because of my Guitar Lesson....

So I'll try out some Laney amps and see if they are any good....

what logic?
just that trad ppl prefer 21/22 frets, then shredders etc came along and wanted 2 full octaves per neck.
neck pickup also sounds brighter in 24 frets cos its obviously closer to the bridge.

but to have a fuller and better tone it seems taht 22 frets are better because of the octave harmonic resting on the neck pup.. thus giving a clearer and better tone as opposed to the 24 frets as the octave harmonic is well rested on the 24th fret. .

22 fretters tend to sound better than 24. . but doesnt really matter if you tweak pups and stuff. . .

Similiar as to why not 8-string-guitars instead of 6-string-guitars. Or 6-string-bass instead of 4.
