If you're playing more punk favored songs...... I wouldn't recommend a Les Paul then. It just doesn't really work..... not to say you can't TRY.... but if you want to get that kind of tone, go for a strat guitar with some humbuckers instead.

My guitar teacher today said I'm ready to take a Grade 6 guitar exam and will start preparing me for it.... Anyone has any ideas what that encompasses? |

Not really all rounder.....
Try playing All Along The Watchtower on a Les Paul...... that ain't right. To ME.... the best all-rounder would be the Ibanez S series.... they are really impressive when it comes to versatility..... Yes.... The Ibanez...... If you want Blues, Rock (Classic....), Metal or anything that has a nice low-end.... the Les Paul is the way to go. If you want something more sharp, a Strat or a Super strat is the way. But of course.... rules are meant to be broken... so just ignore whatever this bumbling idiot (ie: me.) has to say |

hmm...maybe u shld be a bit more mature..dont criticise like that..its like too much..and by the way...older greenday is good.doesnt mean that non mainstream is better than them or what..just be mature when critising ppl..though i dun listen to blink n stuffs..but i respect them to make songs for those who they like it.its at least a contribution to music.
that means u n me, n the other many ppl shld play SX or kapok too?lolz.......and i love sx also..looks really good with the affordable price they have there. This post has been edited by blackangel: Mar 4 2007, 03:35 PM |

I started off with Green Day 3-chord songs on my crap-strat......
I STILL play Green Day 3-chord songs on my Jackson. I would recommend that you try out Yamaha Pacifica guitars and see if you like the tone...... I Highly recommend them at the moment. |

Hey I thought Billie Joe Amstrong uses a Gison LP junior? Infact recently he had a custom model with Gibson?
