But here's a question though, anyone actually regretted buying the D40?

Sure no regret. I feel so happy that it serve me well. For a noob like me, there are many thing to learn about. For the price also very attractive. The major thing i like is that D40 is very light weight compare with other DSLR. The size also very easy to carry to everywhere. So D40 is very suitable for girl to use also. icon_rolleyes.gif

Dude your referring to this right ? http://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_al...303&navigator=3

If i am not mistaken you will need amount (adapter) for nikon. I believe you can use it however there will not be autofocus. Gotta use manuel for this macro.

Thats pretty far reach for a macro lens, you better get a good tripod else i think anything above 200mm its gonna be 50% blur shots dude.. just my 2 cents here

p/s: This 1 works with auto focus on the D40 if I am not mistaken.

No regrets, since i bought it based on the money factor.this is my first DSLR swithching from PNS camera.I was at Fotokem digital fair at PWTC and i think i got a good deal, which they gave me extra original EN-EL9 battery,2 pc 1GB SD card,3 yrs warranty (1+2 by fotokem) and lots other nikon freebies and also RM150 worth of Nike voucher.

learning n loving it!

do u all think a 200mm is enough to take scenery pics? i means hv to zoom from far.

and a 200mm use to take potrait pic will it be nice compare to 300mm?

and another question, the 3 focus point will it affect much on the photography? compare to 5 focus point.

This is subjective.. sometimes u want wide angle to take pic of the scenery..
