Thanks, is it worth to change to ori driveshaft or just the not-ori ones? Any tips to take care of it?

Hi all,

I am looking for a good and honest workshop to have my Swift a thorough check. I know one in Kajang. I am looking for one in KL. Kindly recommend.
Thanks

U can go to emax auto services, desa tun razak. Previously a suzuki centre. Price quite expensive since use original part but u can buy outside n install there. Workmanship tiptop!

Hi all. It's been awhile since i bought my car. In a blink of an eye it's close to 5 yrs++ now.

Journey so far:
No major issue. Engine ok. Touch wood everything go well.
Normal crack on aftermarket side skirt
Mileage is about 1-120 km and ongoing
My car is NA

Changed item:
4 units of tyres
16'->15' rims
silicon wiper
Dry Panasonic battery @2016 (First change from stock battery)

Things coming to change:
Lightbulbs
Battery anytime as soon hit 3 years
Disk Brake pads x4 (anyone can recommend or just stick to ori)
Overhaul (if mech say need, subject to wallet)

Overall experience:

This car is good from performance, stability and NVH. It was (CBU) highly priced then reduced (CKD). I am satisfied with the car, still good looking imo, fine quality and not giving me any headache. I will keep this car for long term. It's fun to drive.

Only downturn about it is resale market. Price is crazy.

Thanks Bro.
I manage to find one in Sentul. Recommended by Sen Hui, Suzuki Part dealer.
Got my Swift back in tip top condition and great service too. Price very reasonable. Part all from Sen Hui, so pretty sure is Ori unless price of new parts are too expensive, he will source for you re-conditioned parts. biggrin.gif

Got two, both quoted at RM300 for cloning the original plus its flip key type.
Not cheap.
Both at Pandan Indah

Are you driving the SSS?

1. Why did you reduce the tyre size from 16 to 15? Changed after how many years/km?
2. Regarding resale value, I drive a 2013 SSS Auto, was looking at the Hyundai Ioniq, dealer told me he can give me rm40k for it trade-in. Is that bad?

1. 1.4. Bcos tyre of 16" is tricky to find and price huge different compared to 15". Changed on 80k km from stock tyre when about 5th year

2. From mudah sss selling like 63k 2nd hand 2014. Your maybe lowest 55k to 58k fair price but i may be wrong. My friend in car industry say mudah price is 80% accurate and latest price alrdy. So u judge accordingly.

Mine online quote is 30k. If u sell dealer 40k might as well i sell off mine buy yrs. Hahaha jk biggrin.gif

Guys i need help on my 2011 Swift

Recently the power steering suddenly become heavy especially when I parked it under the hot sun. But after 5mins of driving it will turn normal again.

However suddenly this past 3 days the steering is just turns into pure non power steering and worst than the non power steering. Turning is stiff like nobody’s business! The wife cant even drive since it is so heavy.

Have anyone experienced it before? What is the problem? Any recommended workshop that can rectify the issue? Damage?
