Deposit to ensure that when ur renovation contractor come and whack the hell out of your house, all the construction debris u clean. If u not do cleanup developer will use ur deposit to fund the cleanup. Yes, your house is individual title right? The more so developer need to get deposit from u.

Sorry bro, this argument does not sound right.

When u under go major Reno, u need consent of the local council who collect deposit from u.

U need to rent a bin which is placed outside your house.

After Reno is completel, u get back your deposit

In existing completed individual title development you don't consent from the developer right.

Did u sign the developer's DMC when buying the house? If u did, they have the right cause normally there is a clause for reno deposit in it. Despite that, whether the DMC is enforceable on an individual title property shall be debatable. Comments from any sifu or expert, especially lawyers are welcome.

asking price only what, i cant imagine anyone paying that price when a bigger parkfield is cheaper

dont underestimate. i believe that rm950k can get transacted soon. many didnt believe me when i said nadayu semi d can go to rm1.9mil to rm2mil. do u believe me if i said got recent transaction at rm1.9mil?
