QUOTE(512456 @ Apr 2 2017, 04:40 PM) Hi everyone, section G in EA form which is the 'Total Tax Exempt Allowances/Perquisites/Gifts/Benefits' should be deducted under 'Approved Donations, Gifts and Contributions' right? I forgot to deduct and sent the form. Anyone has experience rectifying the numbers after sending the e-borang? while waiting for responses from SIFUS may I suggest you do a manual calculation to see whether the "saving" value is justify to pursuit further with LHDN....

QUOTE(danieljaya @ Apr 25 2017, 11:39 AM) Letting of real property is deemed as a business source and the income received from it is charged to tax under paragraph 4(a) of the ITA if maintenance services or support services are provided in relation to the real property. ( you may refer to this link http://lampiran.hasil.gov.my/pdf/pdfam/PR4_2011.pdf ) so, if he rent out his "condo" which includes, security and facilities...does it mean business income? if it is not treated as a business income, then "konchesky" questions to you is still not answered? QUOTE(nicolelim28 @ Apr 25 2017, 05:09 PM) want to ask about the rental income. As i need to declare my rental income, can i ask the amount to declare is total rental per year or after deduct the monthly maintenance fee? My rental income is RM 700 per month, the maintenance fee is RM 120 per month. So i should declare RM 700 per month or RM 580 per month? found this on google... looks like the answer to your query is there.... just need to confirm the validity http://malaysiantaxation101.com/2013/01/ex...-real-property/

QUOTE(Visionew @ Apr 26 2017, 04:01 AM) I understand that this year, like past years, the dealine for submission of Borong BE (non-business) via e-filing is extended to 15th May, 2017. Does it follow that the payment for the tax is also extended to 15th May 2017? I would assume this is the case, since the reason for late filing is to let the taxpayer have ample time to go through the income statements, receipts, bills, rebates, etc. etc. to arrive at an accurate figures of income and rebates. Then on completing the e-filing, which do the computation for us, only then the taxpayers know the exact amount to pay to LHDN.
It makes no sense that the taxpayers is required to pay the exact amount by 30th April but are allowed to do e-filing up to 15 days later. However, I would appareciate if sifus or gurus here can verify or refute this. seems logical.... but if using this as a reason....... isn't March till end of Apr not enough time to do it? then why or how come the extra 15 days is enough? why not til longer time like 15 July?

QUOTE(qwer312 @ Apr 26 2017, 01:15 AM) Hi, i want to ask about the tax deduction of parent and purchase of personal computer. Thx for reply. 1) If my parents already retired from government job and receive pencen every month now, do their pencen count as annual income for them and i cannot claim the deduction if it is more than 24k annually? 2) for personal computer purchase, if i bought graphic card or external/internal hard disk for personal use, is it count as personal computer purchase? for Q1: I googled and found this.... http://lampiran.hasil.gov.my/pdf/pdfam/9_BROCHURE_2016.pdffor Q2: nope.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jun 25 2017, 08:05 AM) ok thanks. Unifi and streamyx both can be claim right? Another question is, for the PRS, how to show them the receipt? As long as i show my account transaction that there are 3k top up every year, regardless of whoever helped me to top up, is ok? Because normally i top up my PRS via my friend who is a agent of manulife, but he is not approved for PRS so he help me pay to his agency who have the license then i pay him via bank transfer. Unifi n streamyx both registered under your names?... The PRS Manulife fund house did not sent you the statement/transaction statement ?
