Does anyone know if the RM6K for Petrol/toll claims still applicable for tax claim?

I would also like to know where in the efiling does one enter this figure or do your reduce that total tax able amount by 6K from thr EA form figure.

Thanks
*
Got such things ? That's is from the EA and it will be deducted already and shows the nett income you are taxable.

*
So we can claim general practioner's receipts under PARENTS name under Perbelanjaan rawatan perubatan, keperluan khas dan penjaga untuk ibu bapa (keadaan kesihatan disahkan oleh pengamal perubatan)

Thanks.

How about General Blood Screening done at Pathlabs for the parents ? Can claim too ?

due to existing health condition?
would blood test be considered as medical treatment or health screening?
i m leaning towards the latter
*
More like a yearly health screening... in that case don't count, right ?

*

Hi guys, need your input. Regarding 2nd hand handphone and 2nd hand badminton racket, are they tax deductible? If yes, what document need to be kept? Receipt from 1st owner? but it could be different buyer info and purchasing year?
*
Not allowed... unless the seller issue a receipt to you (probably workable)

Starting to plan for YA2023 reliefs. Anyone know the details behind these two tax reliefs for YA2022?

1. Lifestyle - Purchase of personal computer, smartphone or tablet (Not for business use) - RM2,500
2. Education fees (Self) - Course of study undertaken for the purpose of upskilling or self-enhancement - RM3,000

3. Medical expenses - Complete medical examination for self, spouse or child - RM1,000

Source: https://www.hasil.gov.my/en/individual/indi...me/tax-reliefs/

Questions:

1. Lifestyle relief - Is this applicable to purchase of PC monitor only? how about individual PC components (RAM, Hard Drive, etc) and other peripherals?

Previous posts from 2021 suggest that it is only applicable for full set PCs, but it doesn't make sense to be purchasing a new laptop/phone every year just to claim this.

2. Education Fees - Does this include language courses from ICLS? and also online courses from udemy/coursera?

3. Medical expenses - Does this include blood tests at places like BP Healthcare clinics?

If you have signed and stamped the Lease Agreement, then declare. Otherwise, you decide.

Note ... not a tax avoidance advise.

which section do i declare this "lease income" in my e-BE ?
What document do i need to furnish as supporting ?

Hi All,

reading from this post regarding EPF voluntary contribution, still i don't understand how does this work

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5422441&hl=

currently under employment my EPF deduction is about 10k annually.
Life insurance only 800. is that mean myself can contribute additional amount of 2.2k to max out the 4k deduction?

or this whole thing is not for an employee? because i checked I-saraan top up is only for self employed person.
*
Expanding the scope of annual tax relief for life insurance premiums or life takaful contributions to cover voluntary contributions to the EPF of up to RM3,000
The EPF welcomes the initiative to expand the scope of annual tax relief for life insurance premiums or life takaful contributions to cover voluntary contributions to the EPF of up to RM3,000.
This initiative can be enjoyed by all workers, both in the formal or informal sector, who make voluntary contributions to the EPF. This means that a member who contributes compulsorily (tax relief up to RM4,000) and increases savings with voluntary contributions will be able to enjoy tax relief of up to RM7,000

Your RM10k annual Employee+Employer EPF contribution covers the first RM4k tax relief.
The balance is RM800 Life/Takaful Insurance + RM2200 (EPF Self Contribution) for the next RM3000 tax relief.

there's also Education & Medical Insurance RM3000 Tax Relief

Hi Sifus,

When I logged in to My Tax website: https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/, when I clicked on "View Bill Number" button, I noticed there are couple of bills under my account:

user posted image

The bills are dated back as early as 2005 and the latest one which is 2011.

Anyone knows what is "Tax bill" and whether do i need to do anything on it?
I don't think I have the documents needed to justify for claims I've made in 2011 or before that.

Advice is appreciated. Thank you.
*
I've ask LHDN and they told me that as long as your "tax balance" is zero, you don't need to bother with those Bills.

Hello, anyone can share about the Tax Relief 2023 for the KWSP category?

If every year I was able to maximise the tax relief with KWSP+Life Insurance. Does it affect me? Was trying to search, but not much info available online.

I am referring to this one:
Premium insurans nyawa (Terhad RM3,000)
Caruman kepada KWSP / skim yang diluluskan (Terhad RM4,000)

and the latest for 2023 have one related to self-contribution one. Not sure anyone have the info can share?
*
They add self-contribution EPF to the SAME "Premium insurans nyawa (Terhad RM3,000)" ...
for me no change, since my insurance already RM3k per year

I just found out the income tax number I provided to my company is wrong. But somehow when i check at LHDN, the PCB amount still deducted correctly. I wonder is this ok?
*
does the correct income tax number has the right PCB amount paid to it ?
