I see no point in getting Intact undersink for 4k+. Either get simple rather cheap undersink with just ambient water, or go for LG or SK Magic. Undersink + cheap dispenser is roughly 1.5k, same function as 4k+ Intact. Unless money is no concern and you prefer cleaner looks.

its still quite new hence the price possibly, I get the novelty as it reduces clutter on the kitchen counter.

As of now these are still premium items

I believe our water purifiers function mostly same with other big brands like Cuckoo and Coway, hot & cold water, tankless

A few key points that LG different than the others:

1. RM50/mth (Current promo price for WD516)

2. SUS304 stainless steel internal pipe

3. Auto up-down moving tap (reduces spillage)

4. Auto UV sterilisation for water outlet

5. LG ThinQ app monitoring
*
and Self Internal Sterilisation with hot water wash every 7 days, automatically, which is still unique to LG and allows for DIY filter replacement, filters delivered to doorstep every 6 months

1. landed
2. 1 pax
3. No medical issues, just would like to have good drinking water
4. Yes I can do some my own diy filter replacement
5. Comfortable with 50/months installment.
6. Don't mind one time off purchase and changing own filters. But if installment comes with free servicing and changing filter and cost about the same. Then better do installment
7. House having a diamond external filter from previous owner. Also contemplating if I should change it.
8. I do make hot water daily every morning. Don't mind using thermal pot at all. Prefer save electricity.
*
If you do make hot water only in the morning, do consider instant boil filter units like LG Tankless or similar or instant boil kettle from Xiaomi or Khind.

These instant boil technology saves energy up to 50% vs continuous heating of a thermal pot. They boil the water based on your needs only and boiling is done within 3 seconds

Hey guys, My landed home currently about to finish the reno.

Rn looking for water filter (outdoor), tryna find a small to medium sized

Budget around RM1.5K

Any recommendations? Thanks guys!

I recently installed ioncares PVDF Membrane filter, for RM1699. This is the 6000l/hr type, if condo possibly can go for the smaller option which might be cheaper.

Reason I bought this as replacement for 3M AP902, is that the

i) filter membrane is hand washable (once a year)
ii) does not require backwash unlike all other membrane filters out there.
iii) Replacement Filter Cartridge is RM650 (approximately every 5-8 years average lifespan) vs 3M (approximately RM600 every 2 years)
iv) Compact Stainless Steel body, makes the overall installation look neat

They are all made in China. 1 thing that is super suspicious is how would a small pore work without a backwash...sounds too good to be true, unless it is more like a cartridge. Do you have a link?

Needs manual washing, approx 1 time per year instead of backwash.
