My SA told me that this optional automatic centralised lock (provided by GS Accessories) works once the brake pedal is pressed. Quoted me RM477 with GST for it. According to SA, you can get cheaper outside but that would void Mazda warranty.
*
Go for the safelock which locks by putting the gear in D and unlock by putting the gear in P by EA Autoworks. It's plug and play and won't void your warranty.

i not aware m3 already equipped manual central lock...  rclxub.gif

currently i have to do manual lock at driver door knob side, very unfriendly ... especially when driver go out for a while, passenger need to lock the car...quite troublesome to do so...
*
There is no central lock button. I think he means the manual lock at driver's door.

Of course autolock using brake or gear won't solve this problem.

The arm/disarm sound can be set enable or disable in CKD version. This is apply on HS only.
*
Can it be set by user in the menu or need to go to SC to get it done?

2009 bro. Today i showed my car to a car dealer near my area and they are willing to take at RM16.5k. Is it reasonable?
*
I think it's too low for a 6 year old Myvi. From what I know first hand, dealers will take a 10 year old Myvi for RM14K and 2 dealers gave the same price.

Thanks for the tip. Any links in the website you could share to me for a fair price for that model?
*
You could go to carlist.my or mudah.my or oto.my and search for your car model and year but these are rough indication only as you have to discount down for dealers' buying price. The best way is to approach another 2 dealers and get their offers.

In my opinion, making decision on a car based on Tires and Rims are not the right way to go for. Aim for the specs instead. I am a HS user. But honestly, its not noisy at all. Its acceptable noise and its still quiet in the car. Compared to my Waja before this. So its a huge difference for me. use the tires until botak, then change rims and tires or maintain the rims and change to better tires like michelin. This is what i think. Cause the HS model has alot of good features built in and worth the extra money you spend.

*
True, but have to consider the financial capability of the buyer also. I also think the long list of features for the HS is very attractive but in the end I decided to go for the GL. My reason is that basically it's the same car with the the same engine and body. The airbags and electronic safety features are the same but with the HS you have more gadgets, not all of which are important. I consider Smart City Brake and Blindspot Monitoring to be very desirable but I'm not prepared to pay RM15K for them.

However if the additional cost is not a limiting factor I would say go for the HS. It is worth it.

1. yes but max 4 people not 5 unless all small sized.

>> Is it because of the tight legroom for the rear seat? C segment width of 1795mm should be more than enough shoulder from for 3 people at the back. Even Honda city can fit 3 people at the back quite comfortably.

Changing my City for M3 GL soon too biggrin.gif
*
It's because the centre console protrude into the back space so limit the legroom for the centre passenger. For short distance ok.

It's currently CKD version don't have this?? I thought it's now ady come with adaptive Bi-Xenon headlamp. Misunderstand.
*
These are LED headlight which is newer technology than bi-xenon (HID). LED is very energy saving and can be implemented in banks which can be switched individually.

Cool.. I plan to book the M3 on Jan to get 2016 car.. But still worry until that time GL model ady don't free leather seat.. Toyota Altis 1.8G now discount 10k.. It's a conflict to me between Altis and M3 now.. Have to say that, really have to go showroom to request a test drive only make the last decision.
*
With RM10K discount the Altis 1.8G would be priced about the same as the Mazda 3 GL. But why pay the same price for a 1.8L car with 2 airbags and no VSC? It doesn't make sense unless you are sold on the Toyota name.

Don't make your decision based on leather seats. It's something you can add aftermarket if you like. Once you experience the power and handling of the M3 you won't look back.

HS come with bi-xenon n adaptive front lighting system...but i not sure it's really work what it's show on the video...

anyone can comment?
*
The adaptive xenon headlights for the Mazda 3 is a different system where the beam will adjust according to the curve of the road. It is different from the adaptive LED headlights shown in the video above.

Does our HS adaptive headlights system allow us to keep high beam on always? i.e. When there is car in front/opposite direction, it will turn off highbeam?

Hi, some small stones hit my Mazda 3's windscreen when driving, and I got a tiny chip and 1cm  crack on it. Someone helped me fix the crack with a windshield repair kit but the small chip can still be seen sad.gif

Any recommendations? Anyone here suffered the same fate? If you have, what did you do about it?
*
You should go to windscreen repair specialists like Dr Cermin instead of DIY. They can repair until only a small dot can be seen.

hi fellow M3 owner, i've just test drove a M3 today, i have few questions on the features. The city brake assists, how does it work? i ask SA but he doesn't know how to test it to show me, does it really work? also can the navigator system sync with your phone to use waze?
*
The smart city brake will apply the brakes automatically to prevent a collision but only works at low speed of 30 km/h or less.

You can add mirrorlink function in the aftermarket but it will cost about RM2000. This will allow you to mirror whatever is running on your smartphone to the navigator screen. See page 23.

does the usb port allows for charging ?

No, the USB ports do not charge. They are for connecting a thumb drive which the audio system can play music from.

Yup but at a very low speed.. If you use navigation or your phone keep on having notification from apps while charging thru the M3 USB, your battery level won't go up just maintain there lol
Weird.. Mine does charge just at a very low speed sweat.gif
*
You may be right. I was using a long USB cable which may be why my phone didn't charge.

I booked HS grey since early May but until now there are no news on the car delivery. Wonder if any bros here facing same problem.
*
There is something wrong with your dealer. Meteor grey has been going out for the past 2 weeks. You should change to another dealer and transfer your loan over. Mind telling us where you booked from?

~~~ Have ready stock for Meteor Grey! Any New Cash Buyer?  Do PM me for more details
Sorry for the advertisement ~~
*
Those with ready approved loans can be considered cash buyer? If you are looking for 100% down payment you won't get it. Nobody wants to attract an IRS audit.
what if I trade in my 2 year old civic for 80k and pay balance 40k with cash ? will this still attract IRB audit ?
*
I'm afraid it will. Any new car purchased without a bank loan will attract the attention of the IRS. But if you can explain the source of your funds and have been paying tax based on your EA form it's fine. If your tax is based on a sole proprietorship where you deduct many expenses you may not want the attention.
do you guys happen to know where can i install paddle shift on a low spec mazda3? i'm thinking of changing my booking to a low spec M3 and install paddle shift outside to save some cash smile.gif
*
Even if you are not worried about the warranty the problem is whether you can find anybody to do it for you in the first place.
Paddle shifts may also be less useful than you think. I don't think there are many situations where you need to down shift to gain extra pickup unless you are in the habit of drag racing. In any case the GB will override your selection after a short time.
