QUOTE(sootienann @ Aug 24 2015, 09:14 PM) on the contrary, paddle shift is mandatory equipment for anyone who is younger than 60 years old for the following 2 reasons: 1. low torque at high revs. compared to golf and 308 and focus which all produce 250nm at 1500rpm, the skyactive 2.0 is weak below 2000 rpm. 2. engine braking. why wear out your brake pads and brake discs unecesarily? u can put the gear stick in manual mode. 1. How fast do you need to pickup? Do you have to drag race at traffic lights with everybody? 2. Brake pads are meant to be worn out. Engine braking will wear out your engine which is much worse.

QUOTE(sootienann @ Aug 24 2015, 10:00 PM) seriously ? do u imagine u are in a 1000hp Ferrari ? wake up man, we are driving a slowpoke 200nm/3000rpm 1400kg front-wheel drive C-segment. its not like u have a surfeit of power. and fyi if I wanted to drag race at traffic lights I would simply need to push the throttle pedal down until it hits the kickdown switch. seems u have no clue what are the common use cases for paddle shifts. engine braking does not wear out the engine. that's not how it works. No, I don't imagine I'm in a 1000hp Ferrari. I also don't think I'm driving a slow poke car. Where did you get all the extreme ideas? If paddle shifts are so essential why isn't every car equipped with them? Or is it only for you that they are mandatory? Engine braking is very stressful to your gearbox and transmission system. You can bust your gearbox by down shifting inappropriately and they are far more expensive to replace than brake pads. If you have been using paddle shifts for engine braking you should educate yourself what brakes are for.

QUOTE(VDread @ Aug 24 2015, 08:37 PM) Just installed side mirror auto flip module and an OBD module that controls auto-lock function. Works like a charm AutoLock OBD module locks the car when its in 'D', and unlocks when shifted to 'P'. Additionally, with the OBD module, now the brake lights lit up whenever I lock the car, and the horn is activated if alarm is triggered. The auto flip module is installed inside one of the door panel. Flips open when the engine starts, and closes when car is locked (either using key fob or button at door). Costs less than RM400 for both, and best part is Plug and Play. If you shift to N and somebody unlocks one door to get out does the door relock when you shift to D? The brake light lighting up when you lock your car is a better indicator than just the signal lights. Would be really ideal for GL owners if the horn can give a toot as well.

Coz under bluethooth settings in handset, only gt call audio and media audio to be checked.. I mean the settings in the handphone. Unfortunately I'm also not able to get Waze to speak through the speakers.

QUOTE(ali123 @ Aug 28 2015, 02:09 PM) my front head lamp got water vapor after raining , do u guys having the same issue also? I brought it to nearest SC , but they refuse to warranty it . Take a photo with your number plate when it is fogged to prove to SC. There is no reason why they should refuse warranty. If they still refuse email to Bermaz and complain.

QUOTE(Revamperz @ Aug 30 2015, 10:17 AM) theres a same spot for cam on both cbu n ckd. only in cbu its got somekinda plastic covering. even if it not exactly the same as ckd , theres a part for it even mean it takes extra afford to check with japs parts? i mean isnt that the same if we need replacement parts for let say, the sunroof coz that one also need japs part coz no ckd comes with it. It may not be as simple as adding a part. There may be wiring and software involved. If the SC doesn't have this upgrade option knocking on their doors is pointless. As @kluseng said try looking outside. I seem to remember it has already been done for Mazda 2 CBU.

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Aug 30 2015, 11:45 PM) With regards to the HUD, it was one of the feature that I'm rather excited about. But in reality, to me, it was practically useless unless I adjust the seat very low down. You can adjust the HUD display through the infotainment screen. However backseat drivers now have a point to yap at you about going too fast. It's very easy to exceed the national speed limit in a Mazda 3 as the car is so willing to go.

[attachmentid=4860931] You mean it is a separate system by itself which doesn't use the M3 touchscreen? Btw, has anybody installed a front sensor yet? QUOTE(albertemmer @ Sep 1 2015, 04:15 PM) front sensor will void warranty or not? I am more interested in where I can get it done rather than if it will void warranty. Frankly this fear of voiding warranty is overrated . Warranty for a failed part can only be voided if it can be shown that an aftermarket accessory caused the failure. The SC cannot void warranty for non-related parts. They cannot void your gearbox warranty just because you installed a brake autolock outside.

QUOTE(ahnicnic @ Sep 1 2015, 11:00 PM) Hi sifus here, my M3 will reach showroom tomolo. I will pay d cheque for d balance of downpayment. The SA told me need 3-4days to clear d cheque then onli can collect car, is tis the normal procedure r? In my case I paid with banker's cheque and next day dealer registered my car with JPJ and I collect my car the day after that. Ask your SA if it is faster to pay by banker's cheque. There are fake banker's cheque around but they can always verify with bank.

QUOTE(ali123 @ Sep 2 2015, 08:51 AM) I did it another way , I pay my downpayment 1st . once I check my car. sign the delivery note then only call my banker to dispense money to them . (always hold something in your hand) or else SA will not layan you if u got any complaint. Banker doesn't need your permission to dispense the money. Their letter of undertaking says they have to release the loan when the dealer gives them proof that the balance has been paid up and the car registered wuith JPJ in your name. Once the 2 conditions are fulfilled you cannot stop the loan also.

QUOTE(hazmana @ Sep 2 2015, 11:07 PM) Hi, I received my Mazda3 last week. My first service 1,000km is due soon. Any recommendation place to service any Mazda Service Center within PJ area or TTDI? What i need to check on the first service. Do i need to book for a slot or can just walk in? One more thing about the I-Stop function. I realised that when the gear is in "Parking mode" and the car doesn't move, the RPM indicator does move any level below 1. Hence, the I-Stop doesn't switch on. I came to a conclusion that I-Stop will be activated when only the car is "Neutral mode" and the car does not move, the I Stop function will be activated. Is it normal? Please advise I-stop will also be activated when the car is at complete stop, the gear is in D, the wheels are straight and you are pressing on the brake.

QUOTE(hazmana @ Sep 3 2015, 05:08 PM) Meaning the I-Stop function will be applicable regardless of any mode "Parking, Driving etc" as long as it satisfies those requirements? What's the best way to save fuel consumption? Thanks and regards, I-stop will apply if you are in N, D or P but most likely you won't be in P. If you want to save fuel pickup smoothly, keep within 110 km/h and don't overtake unnecessarily.

QUOTE(siewmai @ Sep 6 2015, 10:37 AM) Albertemmer, Is it? That's not me. But as I know, not much people took blue. Gents, Questions! Where is the radio antenna for ckd version? Built in at the front or back? Sometimes I felt the receiptions are not too good. Regards. I think it's a printed antenna on the rear glass. It can be affected by tinting film. My FM reception is fine but I don't have any tint.

QUOTE(lightonokira @ Sep 8 2015, 04:14 AM) What's the maintenance like for M3? is it as costly as Hondas? Only CBU owners can answer this. All the CKD owners here are still enjoying 3 years or 60,000 km free service whichever comes first. QUOTE(wickiwild @ Sep 7 2015, 07:59 PM) Hehe mine is mid spec only... swapped rims to HS one. Did you get the SC to re-caliberate the trip computer? Otherwise your odometer, speed and fuel consumption figures will be out. The car calculates distance by counting rotations of the wheel multiply by the circumference. This post has been edited by KennyKB: Sep 8 2015, 03:57 PM

QUOTE(Winter@7 @ Sep 16 2015, 09:56 AM) You are right. I also notice my car (Artic white) paint had orange peel surface if under lighting. Starting i thought i am too sensitive and thought it appear on my car only. After some day, i park beside a CX-5 which have same situation with me. Now i confirm all Artic White had orange peel finish on the whole car. For other color, i think should dont have this problem (I guess). Is your car CKD or CBU?
