I don't get the point of trying to play video on the screen. nowadays we are talking about fhd and qhd, but the screen is not even 720 resolution.
*
The issue isn't resolution but distraction if you play video on the touchscreen. For those who want to play video plus mirrorlink their smartphone JDM Technik can do it but the price is steep.

I understand that manufacturers consider playing video on screen as a dangeros distraction while the car is moving.

my question to PorcupineZ  and to u, is why the heck would u play videos on a screen which does not even have 720 resolution, let alone fhd or qhd? maybe u guys are tech luddites who are still using Samsung s3 or iPhone 4.
*
It may not even be 720p resolution but I think the quality will still be quite decent as you are not viewing the screen close to your face like a smartphone. I'm judging from the quality of the album cover it displays when playing MP3.

So dilemma I'm choosing high end or gl unit. Hmmm
*
If you can afford it I would say go for the high spec. You won't regret spending RM15K for all the extra features.

If budget is tight go for the GL spec. It's still a formidable car even without all the extra gadgets.

Can choose gl specs but opt for 18 inch sports rim?  If yes , how much to top up?
*
There is no option for GL specs with 18" rims but you could try to change rims with a high spec owner. Some high spec owners prefer smaller rims for more comfort and cheaper tyre cost.

once or twice give tips to the potential buyers still okay
we also reasonable people give chance for his indirect advertisement

but this guy

everyday also posting asking to contact him for new car
this is called spamming already.
should post in classifieds instead.

Actually he is not doing normal ads but announcing he got one unit ready stock. Most members here won't mind reading this info. It may help somebody purchase his car faster.

Just tested both Mazda 3 & cx5 2.0 high spec. Surprisingly cx-5 quite underpower and bumpy/goyang alot on federal hwy due to height and weight. Decided to go for Mazda 3. Much more powerful, stable and fun to drive..overall good except for smaller rear leg room & slightly louder tyre noise.will go for GL instead for a more comfortable n quiet ride. Overall M3 still better compared to civic, altis and preve that I tested before. smile.gif
*
The Mazda 3 is indeed a fun car to drive. Cornering is very stable and NVH is good so you don't feel the speed even at 130 km/h. The car isn't fast in pickup from rest but the power band is good for overtaking. Step down on the pedal, there is a slight lag, the engine goes Vroom and away you go. Fuel economy is superb. Cons are limited legroom at the back but this is the price you pay for a good handling car. This is a car which makes me feel young again. biggrin.gif

Quick question. My sa ask me to pay the full deposit amount. Then he will arrange to release car from PDI. If I pay full then the car got issue how? Can someone tell me what's the procedure? Pay down-payment after inspection or inspection after down-payment?
*
You can insist to pay the deposit only after inspecting the car in the dealer's office. The release of the car from PDI does not depend on payment of your deposit.

If we purchase car now and assuming waiting period for car is 2 months, that means we will get the car end of November. This consider year end car and now there are no real discounts, is it recommended to wait til January? Any advice? Thanks
*
If you want to buy a car, any car, better buy now before prices go up.

Me too upgraded from 3yrs old persona to this m3 gl spec.. Yes n I have to agree that the nvh for m3 is not good.. especially the road noise, imho persona even have better road noise nvh.. but other than road noise, engine noise n wind noise are definitely much better, same goes to overall ride n handling n performance. This m3 is just so smooth!
*
I also drive the M3 GL. I don't find the road noise worse than the average car. It depends on the type of the road surface. On some roads with rough surface the noise is loud but on other roads the cabin is quite enough to enjoy piano music. Engine noise and wind noise are very well suppressed. Overall very satisfied with the M3!

Sorry Im newbie here.
Yesterday talk to my sa insist to pay downpayment only after inspecting my mazda 3 which i booked.
The SA say cannot if i dont pay downpayment they cant deliver the car to me..Said its standard procedure.
Confusing..
*
Is your car already in PDI? Can he give you engine no. and chassis no.? No need to argue with your SA, just say you are going to buy the Banker's cheque. Your car will be out of PDI in 3 days. So go to the dealer in 3-4 days and your car should be there. Inspect the car and if you are satisfied hand over the Banker's cheque.

If you can't get the engine no. and chassis no. don't make any payment.

hi all, i'm considering between m2 and m3 sedan...any suggestion which is more reliable?

any promotion currently for mazda?
*
Both are equally reliable. It depends on your needs and budget. M2 is of course a smaller and cheaper car but still a lot of fun to drive.

What is the current rebate for m3 high specs?
*
There isn't much rebate for Mazda 3. Expect only RM500 to RM1000. Some dealers don't give any rebate. But even so, Maz3 is still a very value for money car if you compare with Altis 2.0, Civic 2.0 and Sylphy 1.8.

Hi M3 CKD owners. After getting my M3 HS for 3 months, i have been monitoring my FC everytime i repump full tank.

I am averaging 9.7l per 100km for purely city driving only.. Drive slowly, minimum load (driver only), hardly rev RPM high, and normal city drive with minor traffic.. not really major traffic and even use ISTOP everytime.

Based on full tank there are 4 quarters in total in the fuel gauge. I realise im always getting on average:
Q4 = 150km
Q3 = 75 km
Q2 = 75km
Q1 = 75km

Hence i usually get less than 400km on a full tank of petrol @ 9.7l per 100km which is not what i expected.

Currently at 2700 km mileage already.

Any owners can comment on my FC or share similar stats for same city driving exp?
Im quite dissapointed with the FC and want to know if its normal or something not right with my ride.
*
I'm not sure if 9.7l/100km for purely city driving should be considered high or not. I'm getting 6L/km for mainly highway driving (about 75% hwy) but pure city driving can easily be twice pure highway driving. Many c-segment cars can come to 12km/L for pure city driving.

I suggest doing a test run on highway to test your FC. If you are in KL a run down to Putrajaya or KLIA and back should be good enough. Reset the average when you get to the highway. The trip computer is quite accurate (tested it a few times) so you don't have to use the traditional method. If you can get about 6L/100 km for mainly highway then there is nothing to worry.

hi fellow mazda fans,
i am considering new altis n volkswagen jetta (something within my budget)....suddenly came across mazda 3 which made my mind explode....

well mazda 3 is not that bad after all...only issue i notice is, the rear passenger seat is quite narrow and understand that the RV is low...

im from jb btw n visited mazda near permas.

Thus far either altis or mazda 3 would be my favorite and having hard time to choose....
any good samaritan can recommend something here??
i need real suggestions why i should consider mazda compared to altis??
is really RV important (cause toyota RV should be better than mazda...i guess)??

cause im seriously thinking of changing my existing vehicle by end of this year.

Toyota has better RV than Mazda but their RVs are not so different that it becomes a deal breaker. If you are comparing Japanese and Continental car RV then I agree that the difference is big enough to influence your buying decision.

Mazda 3 has much more safety features and convenience features than Altis for a cheaper price. It also comes with 3 years/60K km free service which should be worth some money.

If you frequently carry 3 adults at the back then I would say go for Altis. Mazda 3 can comfortably seat only 2 at the back while the 3rd (middle) passenger will suffer from limited legroom.

If you want driving pleasure go for Mazda 3. This is a car which makes you think of places to go to enjoy driving it.

Hi bro, may take a look at my opinions..? haha..
I opted for reflex blue. Car arrived at showroom this afternoon. As I requested to inspect car before they register the car, thus SA called and let me do some inspection first. Upon arrival I quickly noticed there are 2 tone colors on bumper and body.  cry.gif

Now I still considering whether want to accept the car or not.. SA advice is if want fast car, then switch to other color. Else, gonna wait at least 3 weeks, or more than that for next batch.
*
Maybe you can ask the SA if the bumper can be resprayed under warranty. Reflex blue is a really nice colour. But personally I would take the 2 tone as a feature and not a defect.

To me, all colors are nice on Mazda 3. Just personal preference are more towards Aluminium Metallic and Reflex Blue..  rclxms.gif

Had a short discussion with family and they agreed to switch to Aluminium. I also came across this idea, claim a respray but I think it is like a gambling.. It may come out nice and matched the colors but may also become worst..  hmm.gif

So, give up liao.. Doesn't feel like want to go for so much hassle for a new car..

Thanks bro for your suggestion!  notworthy.gif
Maybe should change the mindset like Kenny for the potential owner.
"Take it as feature and not a defect."
*
I'm driving the Aluminium metallic. Now that you guys mention it there is also a slight 2 tone when viewed from certain angle. Never noticed this before. It's probably due to the different material which gives different reflectances to the paint.

So it looks like there is no perfection no matter which colour you choose.

Hi all M3 owners here.. I test drive M3 HS last few week and noticed the tyre noise is awful loud especially from rear side.. The SA said GL spec would much lesser the noise.. Do u guys really can accept the tyre/road noise?? is it GL much lesser the tyre noise due to high profile tyre..
*
The best way to find out is to test drive the GL spec and compare.
