Cool, thanks! I'll confirm with public bank..

My friend say once I got my car, best is to do coating immediately to protect the car, but he do detailing one la so maybe just trying to sell me  biggrin.gif

I was going to do coating but was gonna do it after my car looks less shiny  like 1 year later tongue.gif

Should I do now or later? What did you guys do to your car when you first got it?
*
Forget about the coating protecting your car paintwork. It just makes it look shiny but doesn't protect from anything. Not UV light, bird poo, tree sap, watermarks, scratches or stone dings.

Hey all!

Just got off phone from public bank for my car loan. I'm putting 18k d/p with loan period 6 years and got offered 2.77 interest rate. Is this good or should I go for other banks?

Thank you!!

Hi All,

Wanna share the experience with all the proud owners and soon to be owners of Mazda 3 Skyactive 2.0.

I've been driving my M3 CKD for 5 months plus since June 2015. and my total km now is 29,870km.

Really enjoyed my ride and I bet all the m3 owners as well. *You know what I'm saying*
Here are the fuel consumption experience I've been tracking so far.

City Drive : 6.9 ltr / 100km @ 40kph ~ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @ RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 500km ~ 520km
City Drive : 6.5 ltr / 100km @ 40kph ~ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 97 @ RM75 ~ RM80 | approx 530km ~ 550km

Highway : 4.7 ltr / 100km @ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 750km
Highway : 5.4 ltr / 100km @ 110kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 660km
Highway : 5.8 ltr / 100km @ 120kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 610km
Highway : 7.2 ltr / 100km @ 150kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 490km
Highway : 8.6 ltr / 100km @ 180kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 420km

From the data i've monitored for the pass 6 months, it was very fuel saving compare to my previous car. In performance wise, the car really boost up (CBU's i-eloop is better than CKD) and stable (speed up to 210kph - KL to Kuantan).

Braking system is awesome, the SCSB triggered when I almost went through the Smart Tag Boomgate. The rearview sensor helps a bit but not all of it. You will still have blindspot (Almost bang into a car on my right which i didnt notice, unless i turn my head looking to the right).

Overall, it's a fuel saving, comfy, safety, sporty and performance ride. Have all the features you need for that price.

Hope all the M3 owners there feel the same.  thumbup.gif

You can change the colour of your car with wrapping but I doubt any wrapping can replicate the soul red olour which seems to have a special glow. However the cost of wrapping your entire car is probably enough to respray it soul red!

Coating does help the paint from deteriorating as it protects it against the environment. It is an aesthetic subject and very subjective depends on each individual's requirement and fancy.

As for repainting the car, for 2k, I doubt you can do it. Most likely looking at around 3k+

As for Soul Red - maybe add a few more hundreds to 1k (maybe!!)

The best i hv ever achieved is 8.1L/100km, and that's 50% highway drive. Full tank can go 610km. Now it doesnt seem like its going down anymore. I drove like 90kmh on highway with autocruise for so long it doesnt want to go down anymore. How can you all get <7L/100km......

this boils down to personal preference, some might say coating is a good start to protect your car in long run. Coating does not protect your paint from stone chips even with careful of driving. For me, i did not coat my car and what i do is, one monthly basis, I will wax my car and maintain it with quality spray wax and it is good to go. If few years later, the paint quality has detoriate, I can repaint the car and it will look great again.

Also, my previous car paint finishing still held up & shinny from day to day harsh environment with just regular wax maintenance and polishing.

But most importantly is to invest in premium tinting like 3M, Llumar, VKool to prevent UV Sun damage to the interior for many years to come.

Just my POV. icon_rolleyes.gif

on frequent basis, you need to reset the average fuel consumption trip calaculation to get the best reading. You can do this from the MZD FC apps.
