just went to showroom to check out Mazda 3... i was disappointed with the small interior... i thought Mazda 6 might be better coz my budget allows me to go segment D, but damn even that model is small at the back! wtf...

i know, features wise, it is indeed pretty good, comfortability is important too... the interior feels like a segment C car to me... sad.gif

like wise, i went to Honda to check out the Accord, i was very satisfied with that car. features might not be up-to-date, but it's really damn spacious and comfort. even the driver feel is better than Mazda overall...

Just note it down when you go for your 1000km service. Either they will tighten all the nuts and bolts again and/or replace the lower arm bushing.

Or maybe the possibility of this :

(this problem was found in the US assembled car though)

may i ask is it before 1000km better dont speed up over than 100 will better?

i was really looking forward to buy Mazda but have no time to go try it out until recently... needless to say, i was disappointed. sad.gif

Mazda design is just damn nice and sporty... even my 60yo father likes it... too bad, it's a total let down on the interior space... cry.gif

mazda cars always do not emphasize on interior space, if thats your priority, u should opt for T/H
but i would argue that mazda driver's feel is definitely better than others

Mazda driver area does feels like a BMW car and more polish design... drool.gif

but the price and trade off for less comfort really a big turn off... my wife is the first to shout NO...

imagine a 155cm woman also cannot tolerate the back seat area size... sweat.gif

i-stop are not able to disable by far. the only possible way is to change the battery to normal battery instead of mazda very own battery. not sure if this will void the warranty but i will change it to normal battery in future after 3 year smile.gif

Good handling cars have to sacrifice a some back space and comfort due to the way they are constructed. If your priority is comfort and space than Mazda 3 may not be for you. But if you want more than a point A to point B car then Mazda 3 has the power and handling to put back the fun in driving.

Still, I don't think the Mazda 3 is as bad as you make out. I have no complaints from adults sitting in the back seat even when I asked them. Perhaps you should try it out yourself and see.

it depends on your priority, u can strike off mazda cars if u r looking for interior space
if u notice, the back seat area is slightly tilted downwards, thus getting down from the car will be slightly inconvenience.
the way mazda design it this way so that it does not block the driver's rear view

I also cannot imagine. Make sure her objection is really space and not that it is not a Toyota. I know many women only trust Toyota. If you let her make the decision that's the car you will get.

I believe this car is mainly suitable for young adults or with small family...1 and 2 kids

If u looking to ferry more adults at the back...Toyota and honda nissan or anything else can be better ...

Mazda sells itself on its handling ..and driving experience and notwithstanding coupled with the most available technologies and with its suave outlook...its for ppl who harps more on driving experience rather than ferrying others smile.gif

There's no perfect car which ticks all the boxes for everything you want. Every choice is a compromise. If you want space get an Altis but forget about good safety features and value for money. If you want power and handling get a Jetta but don't complain when gearbox problems hit you. If you want reliability get a Civic but live with the dated look. If you want gadgets get a Cerato but it handles like a Myvi. Ford and Peugeot make good cars but reliability and after sales service are problematic and RV is terrible.

I've shortlisted Altis, Civic, Sylphy, Cerato, Jetta, Focus, Mazda 3 and Pug 408 but in the end it was the Mazda 3 which gives me the best compromise in price, features, performance, handling, styling, FC, maintenance, after sales service and RV. Rear space isn't the best but I can live with it.

Cars are very expensive in Malaysia. Choose wisely and make sure it fulfills your most important priority but remember there is no perfect car.

Wow, very comprehensive one rclxms.gif
Mine look same as you except for Sylphy and Cerato.
Also did consider for Lancer Sportback.
At last when look at price, spec wise and design, i picked Mazda 3.

My choice for this car - even I got only midspec (GL Model) - SAFETY with 6 airbags. You miss that out.

For that price, with performance, handling & styling (leather seat and premium interior) rclxub.gif is too easy to choose.
