is the 5% Weekend Dining Cash Back applicable for oversea restaurant?

hey guys. what does the minimum balance charge in the maybank card section means on m2u?

Basically for some of us (myself included) this AMEX serves only a few purposes:-

a) Petrol
b) General purpose weekend spend

For me groceries is handled by HLB Wise. And no other card really worth it for 'general spend' except perhaps AEON Watami 3% with T&C.

So Ikhwan for me is just replacing part a). Which is about RM20 a month in cashback on average.

As I think fruitie mentioned, nowadays you have to jigsaw match your cards to how you spend. For me priority fixed bills (TNB, groceries, TNG reload for toll) go to HLB wise, Amex has just been for petrol and some general spend. Now Ikhwan replace Amex for petrol, and maybe AEON for general spend if I can figure out whether possible to hit RM1k a month (probably toss my insurance there too).

Last weekends to use  m2card Amex for 5% CB.
Is Petrol price going to reduce by >5% next month?
If so, better wait till next month to get petrol instead of using Amex this weekend.

aiyo... why wait la. next week you also need to use petrol what? and i doubt that it will decrease by more than 5%.

world crude oil price has been dropped from 60 to 47 recently, that is more than 20%..

just maxed out the amex cashback on Watson's (RM1xx via retail visit), TNB (RM1xx via M2U), and largest chunk of overpayment to Unifi (RM7xx via M2U)

U still can go dining using that card.....not a total waste also.

came back from gardens empty handed.

they say must update my income data.
submit salary slip, bank statement again etc etc
so troublesome,
like new application.

however,
if split and reduce/allocate some credit limit from M2U card
they can give the ikhwan card within 1 hour (working days).
too bad it is friday after office hours,
gonna do it again monday.
